In other words, if he loses, he is shot. If he wins, he is not. Somehow, that doesn't seem fair on Khan.
To be fair the JMM and Pac fights were in 2007. Apparently he fought in 2008 against some stiff in China..... I didnt see that one. While his Pacman rematch was a great moral victory for making it 12 rounds, I also thought it was lackluster on Pacman's part as well. By the time he fights Kahn those fights will be almost 2 years ago, so there is certainly room to question what he might have left.
Thats EXACTLY what I was thinking, there should have been a simple `past prime` option in between those 2.
i think this will be khans night 1 hes faster than barrera 2 hes more powerful than barrera 3 hes got a longer reach than barrera 4 barrera last stoppage 2005 5 Roach and pacman know his style inside out 6 at 34 hes seen better days 7 khans a bigger frame so barrera aint gonna back khan up i challenge anyone 2 ignore this
Im just saying that we have to see his peformance and his movement to really say if he is shot or if he is still dangerous
i dont think anyone has seen marcos last fight so all we can do is base his ability on 2007. and with that said, i believe marcos more than capable of out pointing & countering the green khan for a UD.
Barrera is way past his best. He's now fighting at 135, and looks a lot chubbier than we have ever seen him before. He won't be as fast, has even less punching power, and we don't know what his punch resistance is like. Barrera is nowhere near his best, and he put up good fights with Pacquiao and Marquez despite being faded. That said, Barrera is one of the greatest fighters of the last 25 years, and even a badly faded version (which he is) can whoop on Amir Khan. Barrera TKO5 I have and it gives absolutely no dication whatsoever on what state he is in. He looked chubbier, but he went there to get some rounds in and the opponent was dead to begin with. It's completely irrelevant, it's only purpose was to get rid of rust.
Meldrick Taylor vs Julio Cesar Chavez Marvin Hagler vs Sugar Ray Leonard Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar De La Hoya Amir Khan has been getting knocked down by D level fighters, and wobbled by a jab. He's either severely weight drained or china chinned. Pacquiao beat Barrera, not Roach. It's Khan vs Barrera. Agreed. He doesn't need too. Barrera can counter Amir, and given Khan's punch resistance, even Marco can knock him out with a few shots. I thoroughly believe this. Khan has been fighting part timers, and his first step up in class (which was against a no name) he got sparked in round 1. Marco is one of the greatest Mexican fighters of all time, and even a faded version that holds no size advantages can do a number over Khan. My opinion.
Marco is considerably faded, but you still need to bring some VERY serious skills to the table to beat him. Even with the size difference, I favor MAB to reach that chin at some point and if he hurts Khan he will take him right out. The Campbell fight will be much tougher for MAB.
no. he had a close fight with p4p#2 jmm, escaped with a decision loss with the p4p king and tko'ed a mediocre light weight in his last 3 fights. a shot fighter doesn't do that. i even feel that he would beat any other super-featherweights not named pac and marquez.
I prefer Barrera vs Campbell. That fight considerably improves Marco's legacy in the event he wins it. This fight does nothing for him.
