when ricky breaks down mentally from getting beat to the punch, with countless strait lefts & the fact that he cant corner pac, he will revert to the old hook & hold hatton. as the fight reaches 6, pac gets stronger and will continue to pour it on with more rapid assults. by the 8th all of that accumulitive damage will take a toll. knowingly, ricky will be down on the score cards and will start to take more chances & will be caught after throwing one of his famous wide looping punches... before you know it, pacs unloading on him in a corner for a stoppage.
Damn right on! That's basically my whole feeling about the fight. I think Ricky stayed disciplined against Paulie only because Paulie has no power. Floyd Sr can show Ricky anything he wants but I feel when Pac starts drilling him it all goes out the window. I got Pac by TKO 8 myself.
Pac hasnt fought a live opponent above 130 yet, its absurd to suggest that Hatton has no chance!! Of course i realise that Pac is the favourite and rightly so! But its gonna be a hell of alot closer then what you people are making out, Hatton is no David Diaz ffs. I feel Hatton will be able to cut the ring off and the strength that he will impose on pac will take alot out of him. Hatton by close points win in a war!!!!!
and ricky hasnt fought a quick, sharp southpaw puncher like manny. the last southpaw ricky faced was collazo (in which he lost imo) , no? i'm sorry but almost getting KO'd by the 15 month inactive, handpicked former lightweight only showed that ricky cant eat punches like he used. sure he bulldozed the feather man, but did you really see that much of a change under floyd sr? -i didnt. granted he's got more time to train but there are too many improvements that will have to made in which i feel that rickys already set in his ways. if we got anything from the diaz & oscar fight its that pac still posses the power & speed while at the same time improving his footwork. he has the blueprint & physical capability to beat ricky. to pac, hatton is checkers, not chess.
First of all i believe he beat Collazo by a point, but yeah he struggled at his first fight at 147 i agree. Secondly he didnt nearly get Koed by Lazcano, when i first heard people saying this i was lost to where it actually came from...then i saw the versus commentary which was played the Americans and i made sense. Lazcano landed a good shot and Ricky wobbled...bit difference to getting nearly knocked out. Only because Versus made a big ****ing deal out of the shoelace **** did people start saying he was nearly Koed. Lazcano was a poor performance i know, but there were factors of why this was the case.....chest infection, nerves after a brutal first loss, last time fighting in UK and being over eager to impress....and this so called terrible performance was a near shutout of Lazcano.....certainly a decent fighter for a comeback. I agree Pac has the tools to beat Ricky, i just feel its ridiculous to say Hatton has no chance, he will make things ****ing tough for Manny and will be by far the most physically strongest fighter Pac has faced. Give Ricky a chance, he will do better then you think :good
i never said Ricky has no chance. its just weighting out the variables, imo pac is the choice by tko."if" Hatton hurts pac it'll be in middle of a exchange where pacs already landed 2-3. other than that rickys got a solid 15% chance at Ko & 5% chance at winning by decision.
Of Course he will! He hits harder and throws more bombs than Mayweather. Ricky Hatton's head is there to be hit!
First off the fight is 50/50. This is the not same Hatton who go trained by Billy Graham and got KO by Floyd. This is a different Hatton and honestly looks a lot better then he did before. The only thing Pac got on Hatton is that he is a Southpaw and has speed. This fighting is interesting because I really want to see how Pac handle getting pressure by Hatton for 12 rounds if it goes that. I like to see how Pac fights in the inside because we all know how Hatton fights. I think Hatton would look even better in this fight since he would have more time with SR. But IMOP this fight is 50/50
:huh did you even see the hatton vs paulie fight? -if so, please explain what you noticed that was so different.
I still think the fight can go either way, but I'll be hoping Pac win, cause I'd rather see Pac vs Mayweather than Hatton vs Mayweather II :yep
