One of the most stupid things i've heard on this site, made all the worse as there are so many saying it. Of course Pacquaio's haggling for a bigger share of the purse is about the money . Everything always is. All this crap about him just wanting the respect of having the bigger share, it's horse**** .It's about getting as much cash as possible, and also anoying Hatton at an early stage of the process, mind games . Wisen Up .
'Respect' Ironically Pacquiao has lost more respect amongst boxing fans in the last few days than for anything he's done in his career to date. When did he turn into such a diva queen? So sad.
I just read an interview from him, and he says that he wont back down on his stance of "NO TO 50-50", because he said that he already had given way to Oscar's request of having only a 30-70 share when they fought. Getting 50-50 now does not feel right and fair, in his opinion. But he's ready to compromise, and may accept another new offer from the Hatton camp that's less than a 60-40 split. 57-48 55-45 53-47 etc. But he's putting his foot down and saying no to 50-50. That's what I read.
Why is it always been about the Benjamins for the spoiled & materialistic 1st world peeps? Pac was quoted as saying he is willing to fight for LESS the multimil $$$ that a Hatton fight would guarantee as long as he had what he think is his RIGHT slice of the pie...
Considering Pac is willing to take any split that's higher than 50/50, and considering that Pac is willing to fight someone else for less money, I would say that's it's not just about the money here. I can't say the the same about Hatton. He's an overhyped fighter that knows he's a media creation. He's out there for the purpose of snatching every dollar he can from his naive fans.
Hatton has already comprimised on location and purse split. He should hold a press conference and offer Pacquiao 50% + 1 dollar. It would be good, he could hold a dollar bill up for the cameras, everyone would be able to see who wants to make the fight and who doesn't.
**** Hatton. He claims he wants to be the best. Well, he's got another chance here. Let's see how bad he really wants it. He can either take less money or go back to fighing the Lazcanos and the Malignaggies of the world.
The bag will have to contain something blunt, and very, very heavy for Jennings to have a sniff. The best that I am hoping for is that he makes a game show, and stays safe.
Wise up, until Pac takes a fight for less than what he'd get for Hatton then its all just cheap talk to try and gain an advantage in the negotiations.
they just need to make the fight happen.. there both going to get rich off of it...plus the winner will go on to make even MORE money
