Fun to watch. But still, very very very RAW. Looks to have real power but its hard to come to any conclusion if you look at his very very very poor quality of opposition (wich is not that unusual at this stage of any career).

Malignaggi had 3 kos in his first 3 fights...

Jean Pascal aurait dit que Lemieux frappe plus fort que Stevenson pis que c'est le plus dur cogneur au canada en ce momment.

Possible. But even if its true (Lemieux being the most powerful puncher in Canada), this is no indication at all that the guy will hit the big scene at anytime. Like i said, he is very raw. Elite fighters usually get rid of someone like that pretty easily. Of course, he is VERY young so anything his possible. The way INterbox AND GYM tend to over protect (while over hyping) their fighters, i'm not ready to jump on the bandwagon yet. But, of course, nothing would please me more than a guy from the place, knocking top guys out!

after watching almost all his fight i got good expectations for him. Having Russ Amber in his corner its another thing that will help him a lot.He got a styles to please crowd and i will definatly keep an eye on his other fight! GYM talking about a Canadian title shot before the end of 2009 at 160.

I think Lemieux can make some noise in the 154 division --

Good points, but I think the major difference for him, is gonna be that he has the best trainer in canada, in my opinion.

I've bumb this thread to explain that his career at 154 is over, that he is gonna go at 160, and after 168

I wonder why Amber dosnt coach more boxers. We have seen him in GYM corners for a couple of other boxers but Lemieux seems to be his priority.

I hope he steps up jus a little bit. When a fighter stops his amateur career so young, it's normal to go slowly with him. But I think he also has to learn things from his fights and I don't have the impression he did in his last bouts.

David Lemieux is trained by Russ Anber, the guy who trained Otis Grant. Also has a weekly boxing television show.
