At his very best Rosenbloom wins a close decision 9-6. But the reality I suspect would be, Rosenbloom would take the money and drop the decision......
I think we would need to see film on Rosenbloom. Durability is not an issue in this fight, skills are. I tend to believe that Calzaghe was a tad faster and more agile. Hard fight call.
you got a guy who loves hitting people throwing up words to 1000 punches a fight .. agianst a guy who didnt like hurting people ... who just wrestled you into weird angles and spots... and threw at angles and eeked out decisions... i dont think maxie had enough to beat joe c honestly
Yeah, that's underestimating the man more then just a little bit. The fact that he accomplished what he did almost casually and within going balls to the walls speaks volumes about him.
He won over 200 fights with only about 20 knockouts, I think he definitely had enough to beat Calzaghe.
the fact remains according to the artical i read about him in ring magazine he was known to of said " i could never hurt anybody i once gave a guy a bloody nose and felt horrible about it" ..or something to the likeing ... the man didn tlike hurting people ..you aint gonna make any friends with joe c with that attitude
Joe Calzaghe takes this one, outlanding his (equally insignificantly hitting) opponent 2 to 1. I haven't ever even heard of this Rosenbloom. Anyone, with even a chance of beating Calzaghe, would have been heard of by pretty much every ignorant boxing fan out there.
He probably would if Rosenbloom were still alive and active. Louis' people wanted nothing to do with Rosenbloom.
Rosenbloom beat John Henry Lewisx3 Bob Godwinx2 Tiger Jack Fox Jimmy Slatteryx2 Leo Lomskix3 Patsy Perroni Ace Hudkins JimBraddock Ted Kid Lewis Pete Latzo Al Ettore Lou Nova Lee Ramage King Levinsky Al Gainer Mickey Walker JH LEwis and Jimmy Slattery were great LH Champions Jim Braddock was H Champion Bob Godwin held a version of a Championship Mickey Walker held titles at 2 weights and fought a draw with heavyweight champ Jack Sharkey Pete Latzo was a champion Leo Lomski was a murderous hitting LH who floored and nearly kod Tommy Loughran. Ace Hudkins was a hard hitting contender Patsy Perroni was a fringe heavy contender Al Ettore was a heavy contender ditto Lee Ramage Lou Nova was good enough to fight Joe Louis for the Heavyweight title ditto King Levinsky. Rosenbloom beat them ,he had 298 fights winning 222 ,and was stopped only twice once by Tommy Milligan when Maxie claimed a foul ,and once by Heavyweight Jimmy Adamick, when he was going down hill. Calzaghe's best wins are over a 43 year old Hopkins and a totally shot Roy Jones, both floored him and the Hopkins figth could hav egone either way. Perhaps you should acquaint yourself with Rosenbloom's record ,before making a judgement on him, because from where I'm standing you have both of your big feet in your mouth.
I've never seen Rosebloom fight so I wouldn't know who to pick between him and JC.But seeing as you stated that he didn't win 70 odd of his fights I wouldn't say it was out of the question Calzaghe could win.
Calzaghe has won all 47 of his fights for a reason, that is 100 percent of them. What is Maxies' winning percentage? Max is also smaller.
