After 17 years Toney finally admits losing to Tiberi

It was very clear to 99 percent of the people that watched the fight that he lost. Toney has always been a jerk. He'll now probably say he was misquoted.

 

I read the article, and James has always had balls and been fearless, unlike Tiberi, who was too chicken**** to take the rematch, so he gets no respect here. Tiberi, legacy wise, isnt even a pimple on the ass of boxing. He had one decent fight, and was too scared of defeat to take a rematch. Rematches are what make boxing great. Duran didnt have to rematch Leonard, but he did because his EGO refused to acknowledge that he could be beaten. Hearns and Leonard, Ali, even DLH, have all had rematches. Chavez at an advanced age, and an unnatural weight class took the rematch against a basically primed out DLH and it was a war while it lasted, because Chavez was a WARRIOR through and through. He hated defeat, but knew it was part of the game.

DLH on the other hand, will always be remembered for, like this idiot Tiberi, NOT taking the rematch with his father, Tito Trinidad. Cowardly.

James Toney has had a HELL of a Ride and he is nowhere near finished yet. He finished off 2008, by making former HW Champion Rahman quit on his stool, and by taking Fres Oquendo's ass to school, and winning the IBA/NABO Championships. He is set on a course now, for yet another Title Run at HW and maybe,if we are lucky, B-Hops will eat a damn cheeseburger and challenge for Toney's belts at HW in a Fight Fans Dream-Match, and an instant classic.

Tiberi is probably drinking cheap wine in the middle of the day at parks, and asking folks for spare change.

So what you're saying is that in your opinion, your boy Toney got beat not only by a bum in boxing terms, but by an actual bum? Maybe James should call the Bumfights people and pursue the proper avenues (probably Colfax) to demand the rematch.

 

Yes. He is a boxing fan, like myself. He doesnt spend all day in Transylvania, mastrubating to photos of Bernard Hopkins while wearing a Dracula cape and fake fangs, like yourself.

 

No. I am saying that RIGHT NOW, James Toney is OUR NABO/IBA Heavyweight Champion, and he is training for another run at a major Title, or a possible fight with one of the gay Frankenstein robots. Tiberi wasnt a bum when he fought Toney. But he is a literal bum now. You can find him these days, in the dumpster behind McDonalds, munching on half eaten Big Macs and cold fries.

 

atsch Tiberi will sure as hell do better outside the ring than the p.o.s. Toney.

 

Disagreed, but I'm happy that Tiberi is promoting, although in this economy, I'd hate to do that for a living.
