I doubt it, this looks ridiculous. I mean, lets say the guy actually attempted to throw a hook to the body, or a hard shot at all.

I think if you are on the ropes you are better off being patient and keeping a tight guard, and using head movement.

This is if you are content with being there in the first place, haha.

Not constant flailing of the arms in a circular motion.

The arm flailing looks pretty ridiculous indeed, his head movement made it look somewhat effective.

I am, contrary to most. It depends on the opposition of course, but I can be very effective on the ropes. Defense isn't that hard, you get a lot of extra room for head movement by leaning back, you just need to counter instead of standing still. Inactivity is always bad, but even more so on the ropes.

First of all, I couldn“t hear what he said cause my sound is out of order on the computor.
But from what I saw I must say a big NO!
First of all the scarf over the eyes just is silly, I was thinking of "Use the force Luke"
Then the arm movements looks dangerous, but headmovements is good. But I will not use this exercise for my boxers and not even for my self.
    All the best

the ref would stop the fight if someone tried to defend like that.
