McCallister looked a good mover but lacked substance and power. Murray looked like he didn't have much skill, his whole game is about power.

Murray broke down the slick, awkward fighter and proved he can beat a mobile fighter. He would have done this to Fewkes as well.

Hope he starts getting some credit on here. This was the poss slipup and he solved the tricky style.

He is a big risk for Thaxton. Hope Murray gets the fight. Thaxton "another level"? Yes Euro level, and Murray can move up to Euro level and win. His fights with Meager and McAllister are I like to see in a young fighter.

McAllister showed skill and speed, and he'll come back and do well.

Good competitive fight, lots of effort and skill from both sides - this is what we want to see in domestic title fights.

I've been saying this for ages...he's the only fighter who I know of who blows cold and colder. Don't know what the **** McCallister was playing at, knob.

Two ginger lads in the ring at the same time, that must be a rare thing to see. I wonder if they will get the free John Lennon CD tomorrow.

I reckon JT would beat Murray if I trained him.

I have given Murray the benefit of the doubt up until tonight, but he just seems like a poor version of Ricky Hatton - without the power, technique and everything else.

He will do OK at domestic level, but someone with a bit of pop and a decent jab will stand him on his head.

I'm not a huge Thaxton fan but you could certainly see him having Murray for breakfast.

murray seems a big LW how do u think him vs presscot would go?

if murray wants the european title he'd have to fight yuri romanov for it, romanov is (scheduled to fight thaxton, and we all know how the fights going to turn out)

He can still beat Khan, though. It's debateable if Khan is above domestic level, he certainly hasn't proven it.

The main thing is he's tough as hell. It ain't about skill. Who expects him to go in there and outbox Amir Khan?

You've gotta get in there and get in his face. Granted he could do with some more lateral movement to achieve that, but at least he's got a good chin so far. And Khan is not a huge puncher at all. I would advise him to keep it tight early on, keep a high guard because Khan has NO bodywork, and just let Khan punch away. Let him lose so energy. Round 5 onwards start to come forward more.

If Murray can get anywhere near the fragile Khan he will KILL him to the body. He could not take Michael Gomez's bodypunches, he was wincing every time. And we know what happens if he lands on the chin. It staggers me people think that Murray can not upset the odds considering what Michael Gomez did. A smaller, older man. He didn't show anything that Murray can't do.
