He would be celebrating as if he won the mother ****in super bowl, I do not understand why he didnt take the rematch with Oscar, he allowed Pacquiao to recieve all of the praise in dominating and stopping Oscar.

Could you imagine had Floyd fought DLH that night and at 147? he would have looked like a killer, I mean he would have done Oscar in so much worse than Pacquiao...

is the man kicking himself in the ass these days? I think so

If DLH fought PBF again, he would not have made 147 in that ridiculous fashion, and he would have a had better gameplan. It would probably look more like their first fight.

But yes, PBF is stupid, stupid, stupid, for turning down that rematch. He was heavily favored to win, and the money he would have made was insane.

I think even Floyd realizes that he would have received very little credit for taking on and beating DLH again after the less-than-generous reception their first fight received after the hype. Granted, I'm sure it would have put ridiculous amounts of money in both of their respective bank accounts though.

it would have been @ 154

and floyd just realized it was a worthess fight nobody wanted to see ... thats my guess..

or he really wanted to take a break from the sport... one of two

i mean the man has been boxing since he could walk ... 32 years of str8 boxing probably gets boring after a while

The rematch wasn't going to be at 147.

They interviewed DLH after the Forbes fight and he said 150 for the rematch with Mayweather.

He was angling for more money, using the retirement thing as a ploy.

I think Floyd is kicking himself in the ass, who cares if Floyd thinks nobody wanted to see it, he still would have made BIG Money, he would have been able to demand a higher split of the purse the whole bit and would have looked like a monster that night.

if you think Floyd wouldnt have received any credit for beating DLH like that think again, I think even the haters would have picked up some respect for him, becuase leading up to the Pacquiao fight, we had no reason to beleive DLH was shot, no reason to think he was done.

and had Floyd took that fight we would have looked at it like a simple rematch nothing more, there wouldnt have been this discussion about the only way Manny wins is if DLH is shot.

No no no Sir, you would have ended up talking about something entirely different, such as I thought Oscar beat him the last time, or DLH looked much better in his fight with Forbes the work rate and stamina was there etc... none of this what if talk.

I thought I remember them saying that the fight was going to be at 147!!! either way the weight isnt exactly what I am talking about, what I am talking about is had Floyd took the rematch he would have got some seriously free cash, and looked spectacular in the fight.

He would not have done Oscar worse than Pacquiao at all. It would have been much like the first fight, just slightly more in Floyd's favor.

Oscar was already shot the first time he fought Floyd. Roach was Oscar's trainer and even he said it.

no matter or when he fought after oscar it was going to make money regardless... and how do you know hes using it as a ploy anyways? have you done anything for 32 years str8? 3-4+ hours every day dedicating yourself to that ? after a while it gets boring

@ the end of the day

it would have been at a higher weigh & its irrelevant cause floyd would have won either way... defensively or by stopping oscar ..

    its just white wash now

Seriously? DLH looked like crap against Forbes. Forbes landed a lot of punches, he is anything but a big hitter and was stepping up in weight, and still DLH's face looked red and lumped up at the end. DLH took almost every round, sure, but he was supposed to. He didn't look good doing it though.

I also think it was a ploy for more money. Oscar made him not the other way around as far as cash cows. Same for Hatton. Hatton made him. Yes, he now after fighting the two most fanbased fighters can call money shots. There are tons of fighters with so many years of training and they would not retire for a mega pay day. We will see. Your reading too much into his words when he says he is bored. So he will come back maybe to fight Pac because he is not bored anymore or to get paid and walk away again. I am not a hater, but just hope if he comes back to fight these other more deserved fighters at WW.

As long as there are challenges, you will not get bored. If you feel that you are the best, then beat the rest (WW).

I understand he may have been tired, but he could have taken his break after collecting the 35 million the DLH would have gotten him.

And he clearly needs the money...:-(
