He had every right to be a sore loser ... he was apparently robbed. I had scored the fight 115-112 Berto had his moments but he didn't do enough to win that fight ... especially considering that Berto was on ***** street serval times. Its only a matter of time before he stripped of that belt and from his undefeated record. I thought that it was unjust that Collazo got the scores he did ... I thought that Berto atleast needed a knockdown or a knockout to win the fight. Collazo shouldve been bitchin ... but he didn't and accepted the loss ... I think that at worst it shouldve been a draw.
He got beaten up pretty badly in the 12th round. Sometimes when fighters are caught up in the moment, they're not focused on when they were looking good earlier on. Instead, the image of themselves getting pummeled is fresh in their memory.
That was classy and mature on Collazo's part. Even Berto's dad was preparing him for the bad news before the decision was rendered...kept hugging , kissing....consoling him....then the decision from the three blind mice......
I Had it 113-114 for Collazo 1. 10-9 Collazo 2. 10-9 Berto 3. 9-10 Collazo 4. 8-10 Collazo 5. 10-9 Collazo 6. 10-9 Collazo 7. 10-9 Berto 8. 10-9 Berto 9. 9-10 Collazo 10. 9-10 Collazo 11. 10-9 Berto 12. 10-9 Berto
Agreed and well-said. Collazo could have been a bitter jerk, but he showed class and grace. Good job by him and great thread by you. :good
