He has the physical attributes, but the mental was lacking. The gameplan was not the best and he looked lost sometimes.

I agree. He was getting beat up in the body by Collazo, he needs to use his legs more.

seriously around round 6, he started fighting off the backfoot and he was pulling it off easy. He didn't stick to that for long though and i don't think his team picked up on it.

I WAS THINKING THE SAME EXACT THING. He needs the mayweather's! They would help him in every part that he is lacking. He needs a better defense imo.

I didn't hear the trainer say much wrong. Berto didn't want to listen. Maybe he needs someone else during training camp, but it's his fault for not executing his corner's plan. Would you rather it be Teddy Atlas screaming at him and calling his family on the cell phone to complain?

He's gotta move more. When he moved he controlled the pace and dictated the fight, but then he would just stand in front of Collazo and get beat up to the body. Don't understand what he was thinking there.

Berto needed a new trainer 3 fights ago, IMO.

I guess boxing people don't react until after there's been a major disaster.

berto needs floyd senior..seriosuly he was getting hit way too much and that goes back to his gym training. fighting guys like margarito and clottey he wouldn't last long due to his poor defense and bad stamina

    True.

All his trainer told him was to use his speed (natural talent) and fight on the outside. What he should've told him was to throw to the body a lot more. I thought he hurt Collazo when he landed a couple of hard body shots in the 7th. Right after that, Collazo had his hands low.

Berto is so green still. So many flaws.

You can have the best trainer ever and it's no good if you can't follow advice. I also think it's too soon to say Berto can't follow advice. This was his first true war as a professional, it had FOTY level intensity, and he was basically forced to rely on his instincts. Now that he's been through this, he should become better at making adjustments.
