I thought that Arum said yesterday that he convinced Pac that 50/50 was fair.......I'm just learning that he has'nt agreed to it.

Bad move by Pac......if Hatton needed any more motivation to bludgeon him, Hatton just got it.

If Hatton is walking away he could have done that already . . . after all their dealine already expired . . . why are they offering 52/48 now?

The lawsuit thing is a crap . . . they can sue Arum but not Pacquaio. Pacquaio has not agreed on anything . . . verbally and on writing.

Verbal agreements are impossible to prove in court. Arum, being the Harvard-educated lawyer that he was knows this all along. All this could have been panning out according to Arum's pre-conceived blueprint. ;)

Pacquiao hasn't even agreed to a 50-50 deal.
If this fight gets done with Hatton agreeing to a 40-60 arrangement AND Pac gets the W, I'll hazard a guess that down the road Marquez would be so lucky to get a flat $1.25M to get a third crack at "PacMonster"...

pac gives a lot of money to charity. and the guy has a lot of business interests too in the phil. he's investing his money well unlike tyson. i'm sure his future is set after boxing. pac will probably serve as an elected gov't official in the phil. after he retires from boxing.

Verbal agreements are not impossible to prove in court especially when it was reported all over the press that Arum had verbally agreed to fight for 50/50 on behalf of Moneys' team.
So not true but I do agree it's just a empty threat

Verbal agreements are not impossible to prove in a court of law. They are just harder to prove as compared to written agreements since the former involves credibility (subjective/intangible) as compared to the latter's formal documentation (objective/tangible). However, when it comes to negotiations, the first thing lawyers ask is who has the authority to negotiate and who has the authority to enter/sign agreements. Bob Arum may be authorized by Pacquiao to negotiate bouts but he may not be authorized to enter any agreements in behalf of Manny, may it be verbal or otherwise.
