So according to the site that loves to talk about boxing, Omar Sheika is RJJ's handpicked opponent for his next fight. Never heard of this guy before. IS he any good and how do you see this fight playing out?

Omar Sheika likes to brawl, but as of late, he has no success fighitng like that against stiffer competition, a la Jeff Lacy. He is past it and I feel Roy will beat him easily. Plus Sheika hasn't fought for more than a year.

Roy's gonna scrape by and then talk all delusional about becoming undisputed champ again based on a crappy perfomance against an opponent he woulda KO'd in 5 rds or less.

sheika was a beast in his prime, but always fell alittle short in the big time. will this be at 175lbs? sheika was a huge puncher with no defense, but roy should outbox him pretty easily. after this i really hope roy retires. is he having money problems?

If Jones were to continue facing the Shiekas of the world then I don't see a problem there. What will probably be the sad thing is first this is going to be on ppv. That is a horrible ppv main event and the buy rate will bear that out. Secondly, Jones will use this win and maybe another win of similar stature to get himself into another big fight. Then it will be sad to see the once great Jones getting knocked around the ring by guys he beats in his prime.

No way will it be on PPV, no chance. Maybe Friday Night Fight's or something like Jones-Hanshaw was.

Good comparison. I knew Shieka's first trainer. Shieka came to the World's gym in Somerville, MA getting ready for Pemberton. It was a hell of a fight and rematch.
