Yeah I could see Hagler out hustling a cautious B-Hop...But I dont see Marvin hurting B-Hop, he's just to slick...

For reasons I've given numerous time, Hopkins wins this by decision, both at twelve and fifteen round distances.

    Ah what the hell.

Hagler by close, hard fought decision. Hopkins is as slick and crafty as they come, but I actually believe Hagler was the more fluent boxer with the better offense and variety to his attack. A younger Hopkins in his physical prime was closer in that regard though, as he was a much more offensive minded and capable fighter, though he'd continue to up his ring craft and intelligence as he aged in order to compensate.

Both great fighters, but the way I see it, Hopkins's advantages (height neutralized by Hagler's impressive reach/straight right hand neutralized by Hagler's jab and ability to switch stances) which are largely called upon for him to win get more or less nullified by Hagler's assets, and if it came down to a war, I think Hagler's more fluent offense reigns supreme, especially as Hopkins wouldn't be able to bully or rough-house him on the inside nearly as well as he does everyone else.

I think Hagler would stop Hopkins late or win by SD.
