11-9 1 scottish youth title in 2007 1 West of Scotland Title in 2006 This is my Fifth boxing season and I've only had twenty fights which has been utter bull shite. Only now really have i become comfortable in the ring and boxing as good as i do in sparring, I honestly think i could have reached the level i'm at now about three years ago had I been fighting as often as others. Fights have always been few and far between and when i got won it was often against a guy alot more experienced or older.
No **** mate, I completely understand where you're coming from. Haven't you just turned 17 though? You still have tons of time and a lot of chances to get good experience and really turn it on in the next few years as you get your man strength.
Thanks koyla. Just turned 18 yesterday. This is my last season as a Junior (at competition level) although my last five fights have been against seniors, i beat four of them in a row without noticing a difference in punching power until the last guy I fought who stopped my in the first round :-(. Basically he wasn't a great boxer but had serious power and I just wasn't mature enough to take his shots or good enough defensively to get away from them. Hopefully get alot of fights before now and then end of season with the nationals still to come :happy How about u Koyla?
Same here. Just hoping to get a lot of fights soon but I've had nothing since December; want to start fighting a lot before our Golden Goves and Nationals tournaments start. Let us know how you go on here.
3 - 0. Got an injury that sidelined me for a bit of time. Then remembered the party life that I didnt have when I was training -- never have been back to the gym..
Beed boxing for this my thirteenth year, my record as best as I can remember is 58:12..........or thereabouts.......been 13 years since my first fight and its hard to remember each fight as each tournment sort of blends into eachother............This will be last year and hope to reach 60 wins. Called this BS if you like but this thread brought back some old memories and a realisation of how old I am in the amateur game............my last fight I was 30 and the guy I fought for a title was 19.......PS I Lost on points..couldn't keep up with his workrate
4-1 All those fights I did in youth. I havent fought in two years. I've moved, and got a new trainer, and she wants me to fight again at the end of February beginning or March. It will be my first fight in elite. Say a prayer for me and wish me luck.
0-1, got put in with the Scottish champ in my first bout yesterday, no worries though got another bout in less than 2 weeks.
