That's what is annoying. Zakman has always acted like "I told you so" even if people saw the knockout coming anyway. Even someone like Jermain Taylor gets critized for having a glass/shaky chin by Zakman when he has shown no chin issues.

He predicted Lacy was gonna knock Taylor out. Infact, he said "Lacy is gonna knock this HBO hyped of fraud OUT! - no more gift decisions this time!!!:yep" and it didn't happen. Now, make a Kessler-Taylor thread and he says the exact same thing. I'm beginning to think he's a spam bot.

 

Neither one was particularly good, but I'd go with Patterson. He went down alot, but as he was fond of saying, he always got up. Once Lewis hit the canvas, the fight was over. That pretty much says it all as far as I'm concerned.

 

It doesn't though. Patterson could never have taken the punches Lewis did in his career. If Patterson fought Vitali, he would have been stopped in either the first or second round by some of those vicious power punches.

A couple of those Tua hooks, were better than the one which sent Ruiz to the ropes. Or even a few of his other greatest wins, such as Moorer.

As I said, some of those Klitschko punches were incredible. No heavyweight without a chin could have won that fight. A modern equivalent of Foreman/Lyle, but without two harder punchers and neither man going down.

 

It all depends..... Punch accumulation can take a toll on a fighter with a good chin. Especially a past prime fighter.
