Well, I know Kessler has recently said in Danish press that he is willing to meet every one of the figthers you mention here, but that they are afraid of meeting him. So, I dont think he is trying to avoid a fight with one of them. As he is ready to go to the US as well I cannot understand that a fight against one of these guys isnt already a reality?!

It's really a shame that he probably has agreed to meet Larsen. Although I expect Kessler to win it might be a little more diffucult than expected! Larsen has everything to win and Kessler everything to loose in that match. BUT, to get out of Palle's circus it might be worth it?!

Two reasons i guess! First, a fight against Larsen is his ticket away from Palle, that is Kesslers terms to take that fight, and then Palle will release Kess from their contract! and second, now Jermain Taylor have said he like fight Johnson, if HBO wants that.. then Kessler vs Johnson is def. off! But nothing is decided yet..

No. Johnson made an offer to Kessler and Taylor for a fight at 170. It didn't came from Palle, who is still obsessed with this mismatch. Johnson and Taylor are now in serious negotiations.

BTW to OP: would this single fight vs. Larsen end the 3-fight contract with Palle, or we can expect 2 more Palle-type of opponents?

Yes, it should end his contract! no more fights for Palle afterwards, it was Kesslers terms to take the fight! thats how i heard it! He wants to move on..

Mogens Palle sends a lot of press-releases. One out of ten may end up as for real. That´s his style. In ealy seventies he had a lightheavýweight fight between Danish middleweight star Tom Bogs and Floyd Patterson on the billing ! Just an example.
Kessler put his trust in Mogens Palle. Kessler wanted USA. He wanted to prove himself against the best. He was led to believe - while getting his bad hands threated - that Mogens Palle worked for a deal with HBO or Showtime.
But Mogens Palle had a long Xmas-vacation from november 07 till january 08. And while Kessler had his hand operated - Mogens Palle took time of !
Nothing - absolutely nothing - came out from Mr. Palle. Fans started to wonder if Kessler had retired and Mogens Palle was dying.
Then came the complete confusion, when Miranda was on/off and we ended up with everbody´s second choise - the Sartison-fight.
Well, Palle was alive and Kessler was back ! Everybody satisfied !?
Oh no ! Haussler was in line. Kessler hated it !
The fight shown live on Danish public-TV attracted more viewers than any other sport-event.
Mogens Palle, live from the fight - did everything not to manage Mikkel Kesslers dream of either a US-adventure or the Kessler-Larsen fight. He was stinking bad and it was clear to all, that his intensions for the future of Kessler and boxing was only of a very egocentric character.
No wonder that also Kessler got frustrated - and now wants to get away from the Old man.
Larsen is Mogens Palles - call it phatetic - suggestion to a solution that could´ve ended up with Kessler fighting in the court for years in stead of letting punches go in the ring.
Mads Larsen i past his prime. But he is clever and knows Kessler from sparring. He is better than both Sartison and Haussler. Compare him to Miranda, Bika and Pascal - at his best when he is the fighter-mood. At his worst he is a runner, keeping out of danger or clinching and holding. But he has never been a stinker - he has always passed the test. He did everything but KO Ottke, won the fight but lost the decision.
If motivated he´ll give Kessler a tough fight !

That has been floating around for a couple days now. Palle gets one last payday, Kessler gets released and the lawyers hopes of a lucrative court battle get KO'd.
