I don't get this. How does a bigger split(more money) equate to "respect and bragging rights". Doesn't he get that if he actually WINS the fight? SO Manny wants those things without even having to win?

How about this: Make it 50/50 but Manny gets to walk to the ring last(champion status) and he chooses when his anthem will be played.

Here's a question for the Pac supporters that I would like to see addressed:

If Manny wins this fight, his next target down the road will be Mayweather. What kind of split do you see in this fight? I think PBF will demand at least 60/40. No way I see PBF taking less. WHat are thoughts on this?

I think this whole situation of who deserves more etc is summed up by the fact that Bob Arum, Manny's PROMOTER, who has way more insight and inside knowledge of the situation than any of us, feels that 50 -50 is fair.

If Pac was worth more, than Bob would be pushing for it, simple as. Thats his job. The fact that he is not puching at all tells us clearly, that Hatton is bringing in at least (if not more) of the revenue here.

    Thread closed I think.

Freddie Roach, Pac trainer has also said 50/50 is fair.

roach said 50/50 is fair but he also mentioned in a very recent interview that this fight could happen at 55/45 and he will work for that.

what you've said is common sense, but they won't agree to what your saying (i mean the retarted pac fans on this board let alone pac himself) no matter how many times they're told this.

it would've been better if arum could've gotten pac's opinion first before making this 50/50 verbal agreement w/ gbp/team hatton. but he apparently didn't so all of this happened as a result.

actually, the most recent news reports say that top rank has presented 2 new offers to pac, a 52/48 and a 55/45 sharing scheme with specific conditions for each offer. i think pac's team is currently crunching the numbers of these two new offers.

if that's true that's to try and stop pac backing out of this fight, but arum and roach clearly said that 50:50 was a fair deal.

Oh, my heart bleeds for Manny, it really does.
    :patsch

How many times do I need to say this ****...... Pacquiao is a ****in MULTI-MILLIONAIRE.

This is truly embarassing stuff now & what makes is worse is that its being caused by 1 of the fighters that fans see as a fans fighter, a warrior, a passion fighter that loves the sport & the fans.

He doesnt shine shoes anymore, he doesnt NEED that extra %, he is acting like a little rich ***** & he is starting to grind on me now.
This is the sort of garbage you expect from Jones or Hopkins, self centered bull**** with not an ounce of thought for the fans.

pacman needs the extra 10% to feed his hungry entourage.
keep them stocked with fried chicken for the entire training camp.

Pac has lost his taste for the fight and wants to scupper the deal with his demands. :nut

Yep, that just shows that Hatton is pushing for this fight while Pac isn't, even though he's been offered what his promoter and trainer think is a good deal.

When you give someone authority to negotiate on your behalf, that is precisely the purpose - that they don't need to get the fighter's permission prior to agreeing terms - Pac gave the authority it is his responsibility.

hmm... who do you think is proper to be really pushing for this fight? pac or hatton? maybe this could also mean that hatton needs this fight more than pac.

arum said the authority to negotiate is w/ him. but he also said that pac has the last word before any fight contract is signed. i think there was a step or two skipped in this process as both top rank and gbp were in such a hurry to close this deal.

Who knows? Maybe Hatton isn't surrounded by idiots telling him not to take 50/50, maybe his team is willing to be reasonable and flexible to get the fight on while Pac sits and listens to his little crew of 'yes' men telling him how great he is and that he should give up the biggest purse of his career rather than take 50/50?

Its all guess work but what we do KNOW is that Pac has turned down an offer that his team previously accepted and what Arum (his promoter) and Roach (his trainer) called fair.

If this fight doesn't go ahead theres only one side to blame and thats Pac and his little bunch of fun buddies.
