Mogens Palle has stated in the danish media, that the Johnson match is considered dead due to financial circumstances.
He says that Johnsons handlers would pay Kessler and TeamPalle under $500.000 for the match all in all.
Palle says that although Kessler was willing to accept a lower payday for a big US-fight, he wouldn't expect him to accept this...

Palle and Kessler are in the middle of a dispute.

Expect to see him inactive until the summer.

kessler is an elite fighter and should be offered more to fight than that ****.
he needs big names and fast before his career starts to fall.

Mundine paid him $600 000 for his first defence.

Well, even if it is true, could that have been an 'opening' figure for negotiations? We know Palle has already made up his mind on Lars Madson. According to another poster Johnson is in "serious" negotiations with Taylor?

at this point Kessler should take the paycut and start building for the future paydays.

Well, I hope that Froch takes Taylor's offer, other wise I think we see Bute/Taylor. Just my wild guess though.

Actually Palle hasn't made any decisions...

He only states what Johnsons handlers has been offering, and that he (Palle) does not expect Kessler to accept the offer....

But matters are pretty complicated as Kessler is on vacation now, and only has contact with Palle through their respective lawyers...

If Kessler has to choose between
A: a badly paid fight with Johnson, and then 2 more fights arranged by Palle
    and
B: a extremely well-paid fight with Larsen, and then being released from the next 2 fights with Palle (after compensating Palle economically, of course..)

-Well, the choice isn't that easy.
If the Johnson fight goes well, Palle could easily arrange 2 big fights for Kessler in the US, but if Kessler is released from Palle, his new promoter (GBP is being rumoured to have contacted Kessler already) could make the same big fights for him....:think

    BINGO.

He won't make more than that in his first US fight - no matter whom he'll face.

your avatar proves that taking a paycut and fighting in america , means you are more likely to get put to the back of the que than the front ,and guarantees you absolutley **** all in terms of big fights.

To be fair, not really. Kelly is thinking Abraham. A conversation about AA and that fight led to my avey. :deal As already observed, there just isn't much at MW for either of these guys ANYWHERE. If Kessler stays at SMW, then we have Taylor and Bute this side. Who else at that weight would be a good match up for him here?
