Um....no. He's the biggest live attraction in all of boxing if he's fighting in Manchester, there is no one else in the sport of boxing, including Oscar, who can sign on to fight a dude who's been retired for a year and STILL get more than 50,000 fans to show up. That's pretty incredible. There is an article on the Fightnews front page where Ricky said if the fight with Pacquiao is made it is expected to generate around 1 million UK PPV buys. You seriously think Hatton vs Malignaggi did just 200,00 less than Hatton vs Mayweather, and about the same as a Hatton vs Pacquiao fight? No way. Hatton's UK live gate appears to be invincible, people will show up to see him fight a retired lightweight like Lazcano while about 30,000 traveled across the pond to see him fight Floyd, and bought that fight in huge PPV numbers. But only about 8,000 came to the US for the Malignaggi fight, and it did poor PPV numbers. Ricky gave back a lot of his tickets to the promoters in the weeks before that fight. Again, he is an insane live attraction, but they don't travel to Vegas or buy PPV's in excess of a million if he's not in against another superstar fighter.
Hatton: "I Bring Money to the Table" Why put it on the table and not straight to your pocket? Because you know it's not yours.
No one's telling Hatton not to take 50/50 coz they knew that 50% for them was a bonus packed share. They knew that hatton is not even worth 50%. Believe me if you will value urself it will always includes a premium.
Yeah Irregardless . . . his win against KT was only good up to the 8th or 9th spot in the p4p . . . we're talking about a crack at the #1 spot now buddy.
Bollocks. For the money he brings to the fight, Hatton is worth a lot more than 50%. Pacs team seemed to agree with this right up until the fight was due to be signed, his promoter and his trainer also agreed.
