Let's say Hatton somehow manages to beat Pacman convincingly, and Floyd announces he is definitely staying retired. Who would be your P4P #1?

Would anyone consider rating Hatton at #1, considering the only man to ever beat him was permanently retired, and considering he (for the sake of argument) roughed Pacman up and KOed him?

If JMM beats Diaz as well then he's No.1
If JMM loses and Hatton wins Calzaghe goes to No.1

    Hatton goes to 3/4 IMO

Hatton, hands down, p4p #1, but hatton loses title in rematch against PBF unfortunatly.. If he beats Pac the WISE thing would be to fight couple of lesser fights like winner of bradley/holt and another belt holder @ 140 and retire after 2 fights. That would be a pretty good legacy imo. If he takes on floyd or JMM, he runs risk of losing the p4p tho.

jmm, if he beats diaz. if not, then it's calzaghe. p4p#1 is not like a lineal title that just gets passed on if you beat the current #1 p4p. i'll put hatton at the top 4-5 from his current 10-12.

Isnt the P4P#1 supposed to risk his title against opponents capable of beating him too??:huh

ya, but to close out his career, i dont see anything wrong with him taking on a unified bradley/holt winner

its jmm if he gets past diaz...if not, its still pac since years ago many have been saying a pac-hatton is an absurd matchup and now everybody is singing a different tune...
