very good list, imo i would rank langford no.1, cos he regularly knocked out heavyweights, and some very durable ones too

Very good list. I personally don't think Tyson should be on there however. Check out Ike Williams:

Does anyone think there is a case for the sfw Alexis Arguello to be considered one of the best punchers of all-time?

Yeah, I got Arguello in my top 10, arguably top 5. But pure punchers, as in "hardest hitting", maybe not.

Bob Foster and Earnie Shavers are a lock for a "hardest-hitting" top 10.

    My post-war list

    1. Julian Jackson
    2. Naseem Hamed
    3. Wilfredo Gomez
    4. Thomas Hearns
    5. Bob Foster
    6. Alexis Arguello
    7. Earnie Shavers
    8. Danny Lopez
    9. Mike Tyson
    10. Ruben Olivares

Strange list I know but they are are the first names that came to mind.

I cannot accept that Naz hit harder than Gomez, Hearns, Arguello, Shavers, Zarate, and many more from the past 60 years. Do you honestly believe Naz hit harder than Hearns mate?

Gerald Mclellan hit like a juggernaut . As did Nigel Benn . Not saying they should be on the list ( mclellan has a case on the post war one) but they deserve a mention .

I know what it is. Do you think Naz hit harder as a fw than Hearns did as a ww??

Naz should defo be in top 10 list IMO his one punch power is undeniable.

But I'd also pick Hearns ahead of him

    For a 5'4 20 year old kid....yes.

It's merely in a P4P sense. I guess Hearns probably hit harder even in a P4P sense but in terms of the different kinds of punches Naz could put people to sleep with....I dunno, as I say it was off the top of my head.

Eder Jofre should be in there too.....

Hmmm....personally my FAVOURITE puncher from all of them is Arguello, the one I most like to see destroying people Gomez.
