Good, because Sho-box announcers annoy me a lot more than even Lederman or Merchant can!

Great, HBO is superior and it's for the best Vitali is on their network.

HBO seems to have very strict guidelines on which fights are quality enough for them to broadcast. That is, unless the fights happen to involve a Klitschko, then they can fight anyone and it HAS to be televised. I've been a hardcore fight fan for close to a decade and had never even HEARD or Tony Thompson, let alone seen him fight, but that **** just had to be televised on HBO because sleep-aid alone just isn't enough sometimes. Sometimes you need a REALLY boring fight to get those eyes to close tightly.

Gomez challenging for a HW title was an interesting concept about 5 years ago, but he's done nothing impressive in those 5 years and now it's a nothing fight. I still think it's kind of funny that after all the insane amount of $ HBO has spent on Wlad they still haven't gotten a PPV fight out of the dude.

I know Wlad has said he does not want to fight on PPV. That is a good thing. I wish more fighters would take that stance. PPV has ruined Boxing.

It's a quality fight. HBO wouldn't even buy Vitali-Haye because it's easy to picture: Haye goes out swinging wide, trying to land the haymaker with Vitali waiting patiently, and at a sudden moment countering with a quick power shot sending down Haye for the count. Nothing in it.

But Gomez has real boxing skills, at least in his prime days he showed excellent speed, power, ring intelligense and counter-punching, even the lastest version can give Vitali a tough and competitive fight.

No, Vitali vs Haye not happening had nothing to do with HBO not wanting the fight. Gomez somehow became a mandatory by beating ancient, decrepit Oliver McCall, and whatever organization that Vitali holds a belt for is the same that corruptly made Gomez a mandatory, so he had to fight Gomez or lose his title. Gotta' love boxing politics!!!!

LOL Yeah but Hype Builder Organization must create a hype with this fight, because no one outside of hardcore boxing fans will listen this.

Even if Waldo want to fight on PPV, no one will buy it. Vlad vs Rahman, Vlad vs Ibragimov, Vlad vs Austin in PPV....no thanks:nono

Good to hear, cause I read on ESB that RTL will exclusively air it.

Good to see HBO will carry it.
