Bob Arum is not part of the Hatton camp, he's Pac's promoter. It's his job to get Pac the best possible deal. If even he is saying that 50-50 is fair then I think that is obviously saying something. Pac is just being a greedy little fecker here!
Eh. Not when he really wanted a fight. He conceded everything to DLH and gave good splits to both Hatton and Judah.

As I said, you can call it greedy. But some people will call it "expecting to get your true value/worth" or "trying to get as much money as possible on the deal". This isnt charity, folks. This is business.
This is disappointing given Pacquiao claims to be a man of the people. But Hatton should be a bit more humble too, he's lucky he's getting the chance to fight the P4P champ. Both of them should just sit down shut up and get the fight on.
Hmm I got momentarily banned for posting this thread and I see that the article has been removed?? Are you not allowed to post quotes from other publications, sites etc?? Doesn't that render the whole debating process useless if your not allowed to printthe fact? Oh well i didn't mean to break the rules I just thought it was of interest to fans
Both sides are trying to get as much money as possible on the deal. That goes without saying. But IMHO, trying to get more than your fair share is greedy and I believe a fair share on this one is 50/50. OK, Pacquiao is the p4p "champ" (which is not really the right word for it as it is not a title, rather an honour by consensus and Hatton will not become p4p #1 if he wins this fight). However, Hatton is the linear (and Ring) champ at 140, has been the top man at the division for years and is on the p4p list himself. None too shoddy and when you consider he will be bringing the majority of the fans, both in terms of live attendance and viewing on PPV, 50/50 is fair in my eyes. Hatton is being generous by offering to give Pac a greater sharem even if it is only a "token" one to feed his ego.
This is the point though, Pac may have p4p status but it is an honour by consensus, not a title. Hatton is in a no-win situation in a way as he would not become the p4p #1 if he won, but Pac would take his Ring and linear titles. If Pacquiao's attempts to claim a greater share are disappointing, but Hatton should "be a bit more humble" (presumably meaning take a lesser share) then what share would you have as being fair?
