Depends who you talk to on Calzaghe.

I don't like the guy personally, but would admit he was top class.

Not genuinely great though. He could and should have been, however.

Marco Antonio Barrera beats Manny Pacquiao at 126lb on his best night.

Sugar Ray Leonard was the greatest Welterweight of all time.

Bernard Hopkins has a better legacy than Roy Jones Jr.

Gatti/Ward I was a good fight, not a great one.

Totally agree! Margarito has heart but the first 6 rounds against Cotto showed that he can be beaten by skill. Cotto lost heart but Floyd wouldn't and would win by a HUGE UD.

The most overrated fight ever was Hagler-Hearns, it wasn't "9 minutes of mayhem" it was 90 seconds of mayhem followed by 2 and half rounds of Hagler walking Hearns down.

In fact that is a greatly overrated trilogy.

Mclellan v Benn is the best fight of the last 30 years, and would be widely considered as such if not for the outcome .

I just thought of that and saw this post.
I totally agree with this synopsis.
Ian Darke when commenting on Holyfield- Bowe 1 and Barrera-Morales 1 said(something like) 'its not Quite Hagler- Hearns, but not far off'...:nut........and im thinking 'you tit, this fight is much better',in both cases.

Mallignaggi COULD have beaten Hatton if he had turned up on the night.
