Simple question, do you prefer the Barrera/Morales trilogy, or Gatti/Ward trilogy?

I watched the first fight of each today, and while Barrera/Morales was a war and very exciting, I thought Gatti/Ward was the more dramtic and entertaining overall.

Barrera Morales simply because the fighters are better.

other than that they are both awsome.

    Barrera vs Morales.

The boxing was of a much higher standard.

Barrera/Morales and I don't think it's remotely close. The first fight is a good candidate for greatest fight of all time, whereas Gatti and Ward had a war in spurts, but it was mostly Gatti outclassing Ward but getting points deducted.

I agree with this. Both trilogies are classic, but I lean more towards Barrera/Morales because they're the better fighters.

Gatti/Ward I don't really care for the caliber of fighter. Gotta love round 9 of Gatti/Ward I.

Best round of boxing I've seen so far. Amazing.

Although strangely, I did really enjoy round five of Tarver vs. Jones III.

Agreed I probably like Vazquez/Marquez the most.

    Dramatic endings in all 3.

Actually there's no disparity for me in rating these trilogies on the criteria of skill level as opposed to entertainment value.

    Entertainment value
    1) Vazquez-Marquez
    2) Barrera-Morales
    3) Gatti-Ward

    Skill level:
    1) Vazquez-Marquez
    2) Barrera-Morales
    Distant 3) Gatti-Ward

    :good

    Definitely the first.

    Barrera-Morales.

Gatti-Ward was thrilling, but Barrera-Morales was high skill level boxing at its very best.

I prefer what Larry Merchant called "violent chess" to the flat-out bloody brawl.
