Are you telling me that Team Pacquiao is ignorant about other boxer's history when it comes to earnings? That people of ESB, in particular you, knew about the Mayweather-Hatton 70-30 split way before Pacquiao's Party did which by your implication, knew only about it after the supposed first/second deal. :huh Gee, they most probably aren't reading news then let alone do research about who they'll be dealing with across the negotiating table. They should be registering here at ESB then to get heads-up detail and inside info's about the dealings of other fighters. :blood

Yes, thats exactly what I'm saying. Its also what Arum said and MOST importantly a guy from Pacs team called Salud has just been quoted as saying today (look it up if you like). They had absolutely no idea that 70/30 for Mayweather didn't include the UK PPV money OR that the UK PPV market was so large.

You should be more careful, using sarcasm makes you look at real muppet when you are completely wrong...

In your eyes maybe he is. If you were in his shoes then maybe you'll be singing a different tune. It's easy to criticize someone on a keyboard now isn't it :deal

When all you school girls grow up and head out into the real world you'll slowly learn that it's a cut throat world out there. Pls pls pls, don't get into a career where your feelings will get hurt if things don't go your way. You people aren't cut out for it...

From what I read and understand about it, it's not about ignorance but more of confusion. Team Pacquiao knew all along the details about the Mayweather-Hatton split. What they don't know is the details of what Arum supposedly agreed with the Hatton camp particularly the revenue division. Hence, when Arum presented to them Team Hatton's proposal, they didn't agree with it when it failed to meet their demands which they based in part on the Mayweather-Hatton split.

The way I see it, Bob Arum jumped the gun. He probably vouched to Team Hatton that he could convince Pacquiao to sign the deal with the 50/50 split. Being Pacquiao's promoter, he might have the authority to negotiate in Manny's behalf but not the authority to enter any agreement, verbal or otherwise.

Salud and Gacal are professional lawyers and boxing enthusiasts themselves long before you and I got into boxing. It is naive of you to say and conclude (just because a certain person or article said so) that this people don't do their homework let alone not know boxing news.

Its not a question of me being naive or believing articles, Rex Salud himself has admitted at least twice (that I've seen him quoted) that he didn't realize why 50/50 was a decent deal financially for Pac rather than the 65/35 they originally wanted or how just big the UK PPV market is (which is why Hatton was fine with 70/30 vs Mayweather). Now I don't care if its ignorance or confusion but its certainly amateurish.

if you negotiate a deal then back out and back out again when a better deal is agreed you are greedy, especially when you have never made money like that before and have no other fights that can make the same money. Come back when you have a ****ing clue about life and boxing son :deal

You must live a sheltered life if you think people don't back out on earlier agreements after reassessing the hand they have at hand. Man, you got a tough road ahead of you if that's your frame of mind.

**EDIT, I deleted everything else I said here because it was uncalled for. But seriously, people just need to take a step back and wait it out. No need to get all worked up for nothing.

i obviously understand that people do that but that doesn't detract from the fact that it is due to greed does it?
