I wish that people would stop bringing up Witter to suggest that Hatton is a ducker. I am Witters biggest, and probably only fan. I have followed him for years and would have loved to have seen him in the ring with Hatton. Having said that I don't think that in the last eight years there has been one moment in time when Witter could have beaten him...end of!

Well Witter's chances of winning is not the issue there . . . it's the fight not happening for what ever reason. :deal

Just like the PBF/Margarito story . . . Margarito lost to Willaims after PBF refused to fight him citing thousands of reason . . . PBF is the #1 p4p then . . . but it didn't change the fact that PBF ducked Margarito. :yep

That itself tells you that this is not just about money . . . if he can't get Hatton on his term . . . Pac is resigned to the fact that he'll get lesser money fighting somebody else.

Pac is the man to beat because he is the p4p #1 . . . not Hatton. So
    that's not greed . . . that's smartness. :D

Arum must be afraid that Hatton will ruin Pacquiao. Otherwise - what's the point in squabbling over 2%?

Hatton realistically has more mega-fight options than Pacquiao and can draw huge numbers with any of them - whereas Pacman can go back to fight Marquez - but the money will be minuscule compared to a potential Hatton fight.

If it's not about money, then what is it about?

And if Pac fights someone else for a lot less money, because of his ego and pride, then Pac is dumber than I previously thought he was.

Uliuli... have you ever heard of "principle"?!

A man is a General Manager of a small company and is offered a higher salary by a bigger company but only offered as a regular low key Manager.

A chef is offered a higher salary to be a Head waiter in a restaurant. He turns it down.

The GM turned down the offer and would rather stick to his current job.

Sometimes life is not all about money...

Have you ever heard of maslow's hierarchy of needs?!

I really never though you are dummer than I previosuly thought?!

    Oh BTW! How's your crow?!?!

For some strange reason the fight pushes through I hope put again where big mouth is ok?! I'm challenging you for a lifetime ban!?!

With others I might offer 2 or 3 months bet off but I BELIEVE you have the balls and guts. So are we on on the lifetime ban if the fight pushes through?! :hat

What about if the chef turned down that job and then instead took one washing pots for a lot less money or the general manager turned down that job for one as an entry level secretary?

You have to make your analogies more realistic, see...

Pound for pound #1 is not an official title. It's an honour by consensus which is basically going off what Ring magazine say. Hatton is the linear champion at 140, the #1 fighter and on the p4p lists himself in addition to the bigger draw. pac is coming into his house, he needs to show some manners IMO. Pac was "the main man" over DLH as well, you think he got more money for that fight? And DLH is nowhere near as "live" as Hatton is now.

So is every fighter who ever enters into negotiations, doesn't mean he actually does deserve it. Like it or not, boxing is at least as much a business as a sport.

This is not true. You can duck someone (who is in your weight class) anytime there's a reasonable offer on the table to fight them and you turn it down without good reason. Not that I think Pac would duck the fight, I honestly think that guy would step into the ring with Godzilla, he just has a misguided view of what are reasonable negotiations. If the fight does happen, it will be solely due to Hatton bending over backwards to accomodate his greed.

As for Witter, that is a whole different kettle of fish. #1 Hatton will not oblige him because he thinks he is a nob and does not want to make the guy's name for him. Plus, Witter has never put a real offer for the fight on the table, which it is up to him to do, he is happy to try and get himself some publicity off the back off Hatton's name by ranting to the newspapers. Hatton's view is, make your own name sonny.

Pacquiao ain't scared of any fcuker, I agree the word "ducking" is one of the most overused in boxing along with "exposed" and "shot". You can duck someone if you refuse a fair offer to fight them due to being afraid of the fighter. I am positive Pac is not afraid of Hatton, they simply have different ideas on what is fair. You can tell by the amount of discussion we have on this board that anything from 50/50 to 55/45 would not be massively unreasonable and hence you cannot call it a duck. Nonetheless, if Pac wants a title shot it's him that needs to moderate his demands.

    Principle?:rofl:rofl:rofl

Where was that reasoning when you were ridiculing JMM for taking up a stand against Bob Arum for only offering him a 100K payhike after his first fight with Pac?

Its a double standard with you when it comes to Pac and so your **** post has no value what so ever......ZERO!

    Prinicple?:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Not at 140 he isn't. P4P is a theoretical and subjective concept used mainly by boxing mags, it has little relevance in the real world. Hatton is the linear champ which does. Plus he is the money maker in this one. But if moving your demands from the originally agreed deal is just "smartness" then can the fighter go back and keep doing it infinite number of times? Well, it's just smartness right? Pushing for the most you can get out of the deal? Not in my view. It becomes greed when you're demanding more than what is fair. 50/50 was fair bearing in mind all the factors. Both camps agreed to it. Hatton has bent over backwards by offering Pac the lion's share. Asking for more is greed IMO.

you keyboard warriors do not have the right to judge pac no matter his ****ing decision is. just wait until the deal gets made and just don't throw accusations on the guy without any ****ing basis, like saying he is a ducker, and he's afraid cause hatton ain't shot et. al. gtfo of your house and smell the air damit!
