Would Pacquiao v Marquez III and Hatton v Cotto ease the pain in summer '09?

It appears Pacquiao v Hatton is OFF.

    I'm pretty gutted.

Would Pacquiao v Marquez 3 and Hatton v Cotto be the two fights you would choose for either man to ease the pain of the cancellation?

Damn right it would, JMM deserves the 3rd fight and Hatton/Cotto would be a war, i believe Hatton can beat him but would hope they would agree to a catchweight as Hatton aint too hot at Welter as his fights with PBF & Collazo proved.

I think it would be just the opposite of easing pain for Hatton.

    Yes.

Though Pac has came out of this looking terribly to the point that I'll probably root against him in future fights against Mayweather and JMM....which I never thought I'd do a couple of years ago.

JMM vs Prince Naseem at LW in 2010 would make up for it!

Also Pacquiao vs Mayweather needs to happen

Regardless of the **** the fans of boxing have to go through with the Hatton/PAC drama....boxing is flurishing! There are some many different equations in match making right now the fight fans are in for one hell of a year in 2009! You can make about 50 different fights with Hatton, Marg, PAC, Cotto, Clottley, JMM, Valero, Campbell, PAV, Abraham, Callozo, Paul williams, FloydEct... And that's not even the full list!!!! I mean....one way or the other we are going to be treated to some outstanding matchups!

Agree 100%. The heavies may finally get a little interesting too. Boxing seems to be doing pretty damn well from 2007-on.

I think Hatton wouldn't want Cotto now but might if Cotto beats Margarito in the rematch.

    1. PAcquiao-Hatton WILL happen.
    2. Pacquiao-JMM WILL happen.
    3. For Hatton's sake, Cotto-Hatton should not happen.

Chill out mate, he didn't stab a baby, he thought he was due the lion's share because he is the p4p#1 and the sport's biggest star - which he is. I think he should've just accepted 50-50 too in the end, but he's not Pol Pot.
