I seriously think that Hatton- Pacquiao would do better business in PPV than Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Most people who don't either box or follow it closely don't like to watch Floyd fight- the DLH fight really ruined his reputation as far as that. I remeber a lot of people saying that he was boring to watch... and when people know there's not going to be a KO, then they're not going to buy the fight so quickly.

However, the casual boxing fan knows that Hatton is a brawler, like Gatti- so they'll buy the fight even though they don't know much about him.

Just my two cents here. People like action. Hatton gives them that. EVeryone knows Hatton-Pacquiao would be a bloodbath, so everyone would watch it.

Oh, just that "PH|LLA" is trying say that Pacquiao would gain nothing by beating Hatton. Obviously, we both know that he's wrong.

Basically I was saying that you made a good post.

I didn't think so until someone provided a clip above. Coupled with Arum being unavailable for comment because he was on a plane to California. I wouldn't be surprised to hear them say

I can appreciate that sentiment. Even myself, I would be more likely to invite people over to watch a Hatton or Pacquiao fight than a Mayweather fight, because I know that with Mayweather it is likely to become a tactical affair rather than a war.

Either way, I'm sure you'll agree that Pacquiao would be more marketable after beating Hatton than without fighting him at all. It just makes sense.

Floyd's fights are great to watch if you know the ins and outs of boxing. Then you can appreciate the ridiculousness of what he pulls off.

However, most people think that he just "runs away" or "looks scared." Like I said, when people know that a KO isn't likely, they're not going to be so quick to buy that fight.

If Manny Pacquiao at the end of the year hasn't fought Ricky Hatton, Floyd Mayweather or Juan Manuel Marquez then today's decision might haunt him.

Ok, fair enough, it's my fault for using the wrong words.

This is the most I can get out of the report. I'm not sure this is 100% accurate as my translation is almost entirely literal.

Manny Pacquiao is scheduled to fly to the US this friday for the fight's final negotiation. According to Pacquiao's legal counsel, Gakal, the split is still 52-48. Pacqauio's not in favor of this so he himself plans to go the US to talk about the fight. If in case the fight pushes through, the promotional tour is set to take place on January 26 in Manchester, London.

This was yesterday's news, before pacquiao was given the ultimatum, so let's not get our hopes up.

Well if they think Manchester is in London then I wouldn't believe anything else they say.

OK. Thanks. This is actually GREAT news. Bob Arum gets him away from his 'advisers' and gets this settled. IF this is what happens, Arum gets a big gold star for this one. :deal I'd bet Bob told him to come over for a face to face for just that reason.

You have to admire the ability of the top promoters like King and Arum to make the fights they want to happen. Shrewd business operators.
