I would agree with that. Besides... that shot Hearns hit him with... heh... serious business.

Damn straight, nothing wrong with Lewis's jaw. Those punches would have taken ANY HW's head off.

    Agreed.

Over a decade ago, yes. Now, nope.

When Barrera, Morales, Marquez and De La Hoya don't put you down once in 8 fights, your chin is better than just above average. Pacquiao's chin is strong/solid. It hasn't proven in the league of Toney or Hopkins, but it is a good chin.

Great chin, got KO'd late on, good call.

Lewis's chin was underrated because of 2 freak punches, Hamed's chin (like Calzaghe's) is overrated because he rarely ever put it in danger by fighting top opposition, and he was floored by people who could never floor an iron-chinned fighter.

    :good

i think calzaghe has a good chin but it isnt somthing really special...average chin can be hurt and can get knocked down. also it doesnt help that his first response of getting inside is to duck down like an amatuer.

hameds chin was always on the line....why do fighters keep a guard up? to protect there chin. hamed rarely if eve rdid that. if he is taking sharp solid shots from some of the best featherwieghts can give him while not using a basic defence.
kevin kelley was overstretching to land absoutly anything and when he did it was when naz was leaning back after a combination.

also most of naz's kds were just him over flexing out of the way of the punches.

Bull. Lewis's chin is suspect, and those ol' "that punch woulda taken out anybody" excuses are as merit-less as they always are.

Lewis may not have had a glass jaw, but his chin WAS shaky. Great fighters with decent chins don't get starched by second-rate figthers in the heart of their career, guys with shaky chins DO

A suspect chin wouldn't have taken those shots off Tua.
