I wasn't worried about any of the actual boxing debate. I'm all for all sides of an argument/debate getting aired so we can get to the core of the matter. Anyway, cheers.
If I recall, when Toney got busted for roiding against Danny Batchelder (FACT), the roids they caught him with were for horses. I remember reading it in Ring shortly after the fight happened.
Come back in 15 years J.T... no disrespect mate.... A few things will be made more aware to you in time.. 'Reading between the lines' .. for one. Keep posting.
Reading between the lines = guessing. I like cold hard facts, or at least something credible. I don't doubt at all there could be plenty on them, but guesswork as to who just doesn't cut it sorry. At least with a Holyfield we've got some decent circumstancial meat, and i remember quite a bit of mumble around the Klit's too.
I think the heavyweight division is the place to look at if we want to see circumstantial evidence of large scale use of strength and mass building supplements. Was there an increase in the average size of heavyweights when steroids became widely available in the 1960s(they were legally available on prescription in the US until 1991) or when synthetic Human Growth Hormone became widely available from the 90s?

Post prison Tyson had the look of roids about him. I think Roy Jones tested positive but got off on a technicality. Bruno could have been on them. Holyfield looked like it. Briggs Golota Botha
Bruno's admitted to steroid use in some of the UK shows they've done on him, I believe. Botha and Golota were both caught.
Their faces tend to have more lines and slightly puffy. Tyson preprison looked natural when he was released he looked almost ill by his standards, then bulked up with more muscle mass than before. I may be wrong about Tyson. Holyfield looked like he was on steroids, he bulked up and suffered a heart problem common with too many steroids.
