Well I think Mosley will really outclass Margo tonight as Cotto was doing early in there fight but I think Shane will be able to keep it up the whole fight and not lose his legs. He may even stop Margo if he lands a really big bomb.

Mosley will have to fight very smart to pull the win. If he starts making mistakes inside with a tornado of punches right on his face it he will crumble.

I pick Margarito by TKO in the late rounds. Mosley is in decline and he is a forward fighter most of the time.

ah man. i really like both these guys, but i gotta say margo by SD. mosley has 3 gears, but if he's hurt and margo smells blood, it's over for shane. mad respect for shane taking this fight

I'm sorry elchivito, but this is one of my pet hates.

From an individual poster (a single person) what does a prediction of an SD decision mean? An SD is rare enough in boxing to be considered a non-starter when predicting the outcome of a fight. If someone says "This is a tough one for me...really hard to predict...they seem so evenly matched...but I feel that Margarito might edge it on points" that would be fine. Predicting an SD looks like you are second guessing the judges or something. What does this mean?

    Should be a good fight.
    Margo should win pulling away.
He has a bigger gas tank than Mosley.
Unless Mosley some assistance, ie., spike water bottle, or whatever.

This is a post prime Mosley who wasn't able to put away Cotto, Collazo, Vargas (in their first fight) or David Estrada, im trying to figure out how he will manage to ko Margarito. Margarito's punch output and stamina are greater than Mosley's, this will prove to be the difference since both are durable.

It's as legit as any other prediction.

    The possible outcomes are:

    Cancellation
    No contest
    DQ (for either fighter)
    Draw
    KO/TKO (for either fighter)
    UD (for either fighter)
    SD (for either fighter)

While these outcomes are not all equally likely, they are all possible outcomes of the event, and as such, are legitimate possibilities for a prediction.

If I were to predict a split decision, it means I feel the fight will be so close that the three judges will not agree on who prevailed.

And SDs are not rare. In fact they're more common than draws, NCs, or DQs.
