I'll go out on a limb and pick Mosley by decision.

I predict a win for Mago by TKO or a win for Mosley by decision.

Both fighters are outstanding but I have to favor Margo as he is the younger, hungrier fighter, and he has a chin that has left so many bedazzled. Margo is also a tornado - he will put on the pressure and his punch rate will increase as the fight goes on. As great as Mosley is, he will have a hard time with Margo. He may win the early rounds but what really will determine the outcome is this - can he stand the tornado for 12 rounds?

This fight will be incredible. I can't wait for the bell to ring - let's get ready to rumble!!!

    Those aren't predictions.

When have you seen anyone come into a thread and predict a no-contest, cancellation or a dq? And SD should be included in that.

When have you ever seen anyone on here open a prediction thread and post a poll with the options of no-contest, cancellation, dq or SD? They would often post the option "Draw" in a poll, I've done it myself, but usually that is reserved for people who are completely undecided on a fight. If someone actually places a money bet on a draw they may well win, but only once in a while and I can't believe they actually place the bet with much hope of a successful outcome; that is why the odds are so long (the bookies aren't stupid).

Margarito's boxing skills are just about at par with the robot in Lost in Space going 'DANGER DANGER THIS IS NOt COMPUTING' but the mofo is relentless and can't be hurt.

Mosley will have his moments because he's Mosley and his stamina will not let him down like it did to Cotto.

I hope I'm wrong but I think Margarito will win this by late stoppage.

    I agree.

And I also hope that I am wrong.

I agree...and also it will be with body shots from Mosley that gets Margie...but what could possibly stop the fight is Margie's cut.

They are possible outcomes. And a prediction is the predicter's
choice of a possible outcome from the set of possible outcomes

They are not usual predictions but, if you'll read my last post on this, they are legitimate predictions.

I listed the possible outcomes to indicate with complete rigor, what a prediction might consider.

And I explained in that post why one might opt for an SD as their prediction

I have seen DQ as a choice on at least two occasions. (Golota's name was in one.)

    I've seen SD several times.

And, recently, I've seen cancellation as a choice in a Poll re: Vitali Klitschko/Sam Peter. (And the cancellation choice was winning !)

    I've never (yet) seen NC.

However, that doesn't mean that it wouldn't be a legit choice.

Presscott predicted a Split Decision victory for Floyd over Oscar.

    And he was right.

And, IMO, that was a fair outcome.

So, yes, a Split Decision is a legit prediction.

You make a lot of valid points, but without quoting all of them in full I will just say that predicting an SD verdict is (as I alluded to in my original post) second guessing the judges and not actually giving a "personal" prediction of who "you" think will win the fight. Shouldn't prediction threads be solely related to who "you" think will emerge victorious in a bout?
