    Not so.

Firstly, Hopkins fought the fight he pretty much always fights. That's to wait back, see what the other guy has and then find a way to take him apart.

It was evident to me that Pavlik didn't have it. Whether that was speed, or power, or energy its tough to say. He just did not have the willpower to cut Hopkins off and make the older vet fight a different fight.

Hopkins saw this also right from the getgo that Pavlik was legthargic and easy to find. It reminded me of the night Lewis destroyed Golota. We all knew something was foul and it turned out Golota was shot full of pain killers right before the bout. Had that not happened Golota might have knocked him silly.

I personally would love to see a Pavlik/Hopkins rematch but I doubt it'll happen. Thats just the way the cookie crumbles though. Pavlik should have postponed if he was really sick.

Just like when I called Williams terrible performance against Quintana I think this is the same. I would predict a Pavlik win in a rematch. I don't think he was well prepared physically.

 Pwned! Good post man, I agree 100%. Styles make fights. Margo's great but has been unjustly lifted to levels he's not on and tonight will bring him back down to reality for alot of people :deal

Guys like Pavlik, Tito, and Tarver all seemed to look that way against Hopkins. What a coincidence isn't it? They seemed puzzled and didn't have an answer but gave lame excuses like, "I just didn't have it" or "For some reason, i was slow tonight."

Yeah, that's true. BHOP is very luck they were all sick, posioned, or "Flat" for some reason.

Otherwise, they all would have destroyed him. :rofl

I don't really know why I bother. Anyways.

It was evident not in what Hopkins was doing but in what Pavlik WASN'T doing.

Pavlik has always had that snap on his punches. His jab had snap even against a much faster and equally young Jermain Taylor. This jab was missing in action against Hopkins. Instead he was pawing with his jab and you could see in how he was punching that he looked lethargic.

Only fools assume that because a guy looked terrible he'd look terrible everytime out. Fighters are not robots. They break down and have bad nights. Pavlik had a bad night against Hopkins true. But it wouldn't be a repeat. That I very much believe.

Then what do you call the Clit twins & Kessler?

And do you seriously think if Pav & Hop fought again, it wouldn't still turn out to be a UD for Hopkins?

BHOP took all the weapons from Pavlik that night, which is his M.O. when he fights. I really don't see how you can say Pavlik had a prayer against BHOP in a rematch, BHOP knows how to negate his style. It really is that simple, and you surely must be a big Pavlik fan to even want to see him in a ring against BHOP again, at a weight he is just not ready for as of yet.

He would get owned just like the 1st time.

Hey Compu, you made very good predictions in your last couple. Out of curiousity after watching Berto-Collazo who did you score it for?

My favorite is the one Pavlik and a bunch of these cats use when they lose nowadays, the classic "Not making no excuses, but that just wasn't ME in there tonight."

****....really? Because dude looked EXACTLY like you, man.
