I eat my words. Shane SHOCKS THE WORLD - Margo exposed

I thought Mosley was done. I thought he was old, broken down, and did too much weight hopping to have anything left.

I thought wrong, congrats to SSM. The #1 WW in the world again. :good

I knew Margarito was not p4p top 10. Pavlik is way better.

 

Not to rub **** into the noses of the Margo fanz, but this is just great for the sport. Believe it!

 

I knew Shane was faster, but what impressed me was his strength. He bullied Margo all night.


I know Cotto will change his tune about clinching after tonight:yep

 

and the outcry post Cotto fight was Margarito does steroids.

but it was really illegal hand wraps.

 

i guess it goes to show people that cheaters never prosper

after getting the biggest win of his career, Margarito is kayoed one fight later

 

Shane is a strong fighter....People in boxing always down play weightlifting when it comes to boxing but if done right it can be a huge help...Im sure that Margo never fought anyone as STRONG as Shane, and it showed.

As far as the fight goes...i dont think that Margo was exposed for a couple of reason...1)Most of us never brought into the mega-hype train that was put in motion billing Margo as the most feared man in boxing. 2)I said all along that Shane was a bad style matchup for Margo...His fast hands and Margo's non-defense approach was a bad combo. I said that Berto would stand a much better chance of beattin Shane then Margo did with his walk right in style. He walked right into the mouth of the lion.

I've gotta eat crow too. I posted a 700 word article with all kinds of reasoning as to why Margo would win a decision. Mosley deserves all the props in the world.

I guess using your chin as a weapon doesn't work with a guy as strong as Mosley. Shane was using that thing for target practice.

Nazeem schedule is going to get quite busy in the next few months. The guy comes up with the perfect fight plan for is fighters.

I predicted this would happen (you can check my posts if you want). I stated that when margarito fought someone who could bring it like he does and take all of his shots he would be well and truly screwed. Ive been trying to confince people on esb for weeks that cotto was laying a beating on margo for the first few rounds of their fight. Mosley had cotto backing up in the last two rounds vs cotto and it was not as manny steward stated 'because he choose to box' but rather because mosly was coming on strong.

I think the next time a big fight of this nature is announced it should be remebered that 'speed kills'. Always pick the faster guy especially when he is more durable then his opponent and proven at a higher level.
