I thought the same thing. The one thing I hate the most in any sport is CHEATERS!!!!! ban him and his team

Its true..just got off the phone with Emanuel Steward...He said they confirmed it was a substance that gets hard as Margarito would sweat.... confirmed by the Calif boxing commission. I dont think this will be the last we hear of this

If the "plaster like substance" found in Margarito's gloves was truly plaster or anything like it, he should not only be banned for life, he should go to trial. IF this is true he's just a criminal. And IF it is true, the Cotto-Margarito fight should be seen in a different light altogether as well. OMFG. Nor should this be the end of it. That cheating bull**** and the resulting damage to Cotto is such that we don't even know how he'll bounce back from it yet or if he can. If I were Miguel, I wouldn't get back in the ring with that cheating **** no matter the incentive. He's better off trying to make Mosley-Cotto II. At first, I thought it was simply another case of will over skill, but **** it- if Margo's illegally wrapped his hands with that, Cotto got robbed of a win he deserved. And it's naive to think he'd just start doing it now.
He should be banned from Boxing. What a complete disgrace he is. Hopefully a full investigation is launched and Margarito and his Trainers are banned from the sport for good.
This sounds like the same thing Trinidad had, and people don't seem to discredit him. As for if he wore it all his fights I really doubt it. Cotto didn't get KOed til round 11. He didn't even finish him from a punch, but from simply imposing his will. So, if he did I didn't see it make a difference. If he had this on his hand, and it was so effective..He should have KOed Cotto by round 7 at least! I don't see how it mattered in this fight anyways. Seems like a lot of people make it out to be why Marg got KOed. He supposedly wrapped his hands...Not wrapped his chin.
