think it just proves that styles make fight. Mosley gotta be in the top 25 ever.

i has Mosley looseing to Mayorga and Cotto, then he pulls this out.

fantastic. exactly why i love boxing.

Top 50-75 maybe but SSM was amazing last night. I thought he could pull out a points win but this was amazing...

I'm still shocked. I don't think Maragrito looked right, but I'll put that down to how Shane made him look.

I think the hand speed was decisive, for all that Margarito is, if the other guy keeps landing clean, full blooded right hands and you are struggling to land anything on him, you will be in deep water. Especially when the 'other guy' is Mosley.

I just think Mosley blows hot and cold these days. He was vintage against Collazo, not great against Cotto, terrible against Mayorga, then superb last night.

I'm a bit gutted as I am a big fan of Margarito. I wanted him to dominate 147 for a while. I thought he would too.

It was handspeed and variety of punches for me. Pretty every time margo was out of position Mosely made him pay and that overhand right couldn't miss.

    SSM is the man :deal

At the end of the day Shane punished the mistakes Margarito makes (and gets away with) most fights... he comes forward with little head movement, backs away with his hands down at times (the big left that started the finishing stanza caught Margarito napping as they separated), and he starts slow. Mosley leapt all over these flaws.

And he kept the work-rate down by tying Margarito up inside, slowing the pace, so Margarito couldn't wear him down like he did with Cotto.

Add to that Shane's power and toughness and I guess he's got Margarito's number.

A very smart, well executed fight by a guy who had more left physically than I imagined.

I was shocked by how dominant Mosley was. And a stoppage? Really couldn't see that coming.

Great showing by Sugar Shane. The speed and power killed Margarito.

after what people said about margarito's chin after cotto, those were weapons of mass distruction sugar shane was dishing out, ****in class fight, and glad i stayed up for it, i liked when mosley says "i'm half mexican" lol because he's grew up boxing mexicans, you tend to forget that, he'll know whats in front of him and how to attack it :bbb

    I'm very pleased.

Margarito's **** has gone WAY overboard since he beat Cotto. People thought this guy was a beast. Even my summation Pacquiao could beat him does not look so silly now! Infact it looks positively likely!

There is no clear #1 at welter. Just different styles, they are all at the same level.

    It was beautiful.

If there is one man all fighter's should look up to it's Shane Mosley.

He never ducked anyone, fought everyone, had loss after loss then became the man again at 147.

    ****ing unreal! :happy

I bet Scurla is over the moon. :thumbsup

Shane Mosley is the man. He's obviously not as good as he used to be but it did look like the old Mosley for moments last night. Hopefully he can get revenge over Cotto next.

Whilst people have been wondering how Cotto will look and how much his fight against Margarito took out of him, im wondering if a part of Margarito was left in the ring that night aswell.

What i think was the major factor for Shane winning was his ability to match Margarito for strength on the inside.

    A great win for Mosley.
