can't remember the guy's pseudo but i read a message in which he claimed fed looked like ****...

Ooook...First things first. Arlovski looked great ! and it was refreshing to see an mma fighter who could land clean , straight punches (thanks roach)..

He was also surprisingly fast... But.. the reality check is this...

1 - it took fedor aprox 3 mins to finish him
2 - fedor was totally dominating the clinch
3 - Look at fedor's face then compare it to his face vs Crocop..

that's right..he avoided most of arlovski's punches... no cuts , no bruises..

and the finish was an absolute perfect timing...

It was just a question of time folks...

He never was in any serious danger. Compare that fight to crocop's (when he was still in his prime back in 2005)..as good as arlovski was last night..crocop (back then) was faster , more powerful too (and accurate).. he even broke fedor's nose , he was pissing blood..

Based on the first few minutes of crocop's first round , you'd think fedor was ****ed...and then we all know what happened.

same goes for his fight vs arlovski....even if that punch never would've landed , he'd eventually take him down and in the worst case scenario , win a decision...

of course what i'm saying isn't "a fact" or anything...but very probable...

hell even hunt was more dominant (before he got subbed)

Fedor has said himself that Crocop was his toughest challenge.

Fedor has now reached this kind of superhuman status. If he doesn't end every fight as quickly and efficiently as he did against Tim Sylvia, many will criticize his performance.

We've seen Fedor have problems in his other fight's but he's alway's adjusted and found a way to win.

No you don't think he's reached superhuman status, or no that you don't think some will criticize his performance regardless of how he wins fights?
    Or both?

Like Tuffnutz said alot of his fights he has been in trouble but always finds a way to win, that is his superman status no matter how adverse things get he finds a way to win.

Fedor still a beast. He took out 2 former ufc champion back to back. What now dana white, still thinks anderson silva is the best lb4lb? hehehe

Yeah, I find the criticism hilarious. So he was losing a boxing match on points for two minutes? Who cares. The outcome is what mattered: He practically killed a former UFC champion inside of one round.

It's funny how Couture has lost 1/3 of his fights, and everyone talks about him being a great hall of famer (which he is). Then Fedor doesn't win fast enough, and people are starting to say, "Maybe he's overrated."

For some reason Fedor is held to the standard of boxers: The first time he loses, people will say he was all hype. Meanwhile, every other good MMA fighter has lost and no cares. GSP. BJ Penn. Silva. They've all lost.

Fedor KO's the rated #2 heavy in the world in the first round and didn't take one solid hit(despite what many are claiming), how the hell can that be anything more than REALLY impressive!! The criticism Fedor is getting is a total joke. It´s like people have only seen him fight Sylvia and expect him to to destroy everyone in half a minute and then put on his superman cape and fly out.
He´s often got into a little bit of trouble(and he was in absolutely no trouble at all against Andrei!) and always found a way out. All these articles about him looking vulnerable and him getting asked in the post fight press conference if he´d rematch Andrei because he making him look bad. Christ oh mighty... laughable ignorance.

I've heard people foaming at the mouth about how amazingly good Nogueira is, after he get´s beaten to a pulp and then comes back with a sub. It´s obvious people hold Fedor to some superhuman standard, and if he doesn't make people **** themselves before the first bell, he´s vulnerable and overrated.

I think it´s MUCH harder to maintain a winning streak in MMA than in boxing. Any win is impressive, and Fedor's run absolutely amazing.

I think people are overrating him TBH. The people who criticize the AA performance overrate him.

I actually was impressed with Andre as well. He lost fair and square and Fedor is a BEAST. Heavy hands and pretty composed. I feel Arlovski made a mistake and you can't do that with a guy like Fedor. But if anyone was reading the writing on the walls....Fedor is beatable in stand up. A boxer with GOOD skills and a solid game plan would be able to beat Fedor on his feet. But there are no "What ifs"...just What happened. And Arlovski got over excited and went for a FLYING KNEE when he could have stayed busy with his hands......he should have gone to the body and catch Fedor up top. Great win for Fedor and he deserves his accolades. But we have to be honest here. Andre looke very good with his hands!

No! Fedor deserves all his credit....being a champion and only having 1 loss is amazing! He definitely is "The MAN" in MMA as the best HW in the world. But he isn't unbeatable! he can loose and Andre laid a nice blue print!
