Anyone find it hard to watch and feel it should've been stopped earlier?

You are right. His corner pleaded with him to stop it, but IMO I respect Margo for going out to meet his fate and go down on his shield, rather than quit in the corner on his stool.

Quite honorable, or foolish depending on how you view it, but I respect the fact that he would rather take the pain than to be seen quiting on his stool.:yep

If posters accuse fighters of quitting legitimately ala Gary Lockett, then fair enough.

But if a guy receives a beating and is either stopped prematurely or pulled out by his trainer, then any idiot who starts spouting off will be laughed off the forum.

Man I'm with you, people seems to dont care about his health and his family. He has a personal life. I honestly dont like Margo as a fighter but it shoulve been stopped at the end of the eight. My father is a physician and he was yelling to the tv " Stop the ****ing fight!!!!He is really hurt!!"

LOL, this is like some mourning after party where fans of Margarito are coming to be sad and mourn him. Quit being ridiculous fellas. Margarito himself would have beaten his cornermen up if they had stopped the fight in between rounds embarassing him. For tough guys like Margarito, they would much rather go down viciously than give up on a stool. I'm usually a supporter of stopping a fight when it's obvious who's going to lose, but not in this particular case. That would have been a much bigger loss for Margarito had he been stopped on a stool, than being viciously TKO'd in my opinion.

Fight should have been allowed to go to the 9th.

But once Margo took two punches on the ropes without any effort of throwing back, the fight should have been immediately stopped, well before his corner threw out the towel.

Margo earned the chance to go out in the last round from the fact that he had never been stopped in his career. His corner owed him that, kind of like the last wish of a dying man... But the ref himself needs an ass-whipping for allowing it to linger for those last 15 seconds of thrashing.

If Margo had one punch KO power that would be one thing. But when you have a guy that has to wear down his opponent to get a W is getting beat down and worn out himself there was no point in continuing.

If you send him out in the 9th that stoppage better be quick. The ref was about 3 big shots too late.

So, all in all not to bad. Its Margo folks, its gonna be brutal one way or the other.

It was as early as the third round win Margo's corner men started asking him if he was alright...I think that Margo had no clue that Shane could hit as hard as he did..At one point in the second or third round Shane blasted Tony and he just froze for a second as if he was thinking "Damn that hurt"
But once I saw Margo going backwards in I believe the 5th round I knew he was going to get knocked out...If you allow Shane to come forward and get his shots off moving forward I dont think that many under 160 would take what he is dishing out...
