Ask Vernon Forrest about Mayorga, and Cotto about Margarito.

    http://boxing.about.com/b/2007/11/10/mosley-cotto-round-by-round.htm

Cotto was hit at a similar volume by Margarito, as compared to Cotto versus Mosley, and was stopped. Mayorga's power clearly intimidated Forrest.

Cotto is mere speculation, and I won't argue much on this one.

For pure power he's not that high up, for all around punching effectiveness he's unarguably great. His combination of accuracy, technique, speed and power is amazing, his combinations are beautiful and he works the body and head both equally well.

In terms of 1 punch power, Cintron looks more devastating at the moment

Why does everyone rate SRR as 1 of the biggest hitting WWs? Sure he was 1 of the best but biggest hitting?

Not even close. He gets a lot of leverage into his punches, but so does Berto. They look more powerful than they really are. He is a great bodypuncher, but he needs an accumulation to knock somebody out.
