Cotto's face looked mangled after his fight with Margarito. And when AM landed a punch on Cintron, Cintron crumbled. Was this the first time AM was going to use the mysterious plastic?
Margarito just seems like too classy a guy to do this. I know...naive. I really hope this is mis-reported in some way (and I say that as someone who was rooting for Mosley to win).
if they have compubox they should have specific people to check the hand wraps before EVERY fight. bull**** like this can't stand. but then again mosley has been accused of using steroids.
I won't be surprised if he did, this Mosley fight was mentioned as a "tune-up" for Margarito yet he was going to cheat there too.
If he did, He may have ruined Miguel Cotto for life. That plaster shyt is no joke! We will have to wait until Miguels next fightto see whats up.
I doubt it-- He looks like the type to take the upper hand whenever he can get it. I wouldn't doubt it if he were taking somethin for more energy as well. He seemed as though he couldn't win without his "MOJO" from the start. I don't think it would have had any effect on the fight either way. He came in --in red Shane just had to stamp "TOMATO" on the can!!!
They do, thats why this got noticed. Odds are it was unintentional; with big fights like this and even small fights there is a member of the commision AND a member of the opposing camp who inspects the wraps and gloves.
This apparently got noticed by Mosley's trainer who spotted something odd about Margo's wraps and reported it. I have no doubt Margo went Sandman on Cotto and got away with it.
I seriously doubt this was an intentional attempt to cheat, it just seems far to risky and stupid, especially since Margarito was such a big favorite. There are only so many ways to illegally wrap hands, most of them don't even add much of anything, and the ones that do are pretty easy to spot because the commission has seen them so many times and know what to look for. If somebody is watching, it is not hard to notice when somebody is illegally wrapping, especially when it is actually something that would effect the outcome of a fight.

I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt, but to see Cotto's face so badly damaged and for him to quit because he couldn't take the punishment anymore is suspect. Especially because Mosley wasn't hurt at all.
I'd like to know what your back ground is and why you speak with such conviction on these matters. Cause from the Causal fans point of view it doesn't look good when hard plastery **** starts falling out of a guys wraps.
