    yepp correct, he came out of retirement just for some spare cash and caught mitrevski with a massive right hand, good watching some tapes of how your trainer use to fight and soo on.....

    Earthquake Carter was the one I had in mind. Read that he did it in his car, but sometimes the accuracy of these matters can vary - good get though.

    One of Lester Ellis' opponents is also no longer with us. Sadly, he died of Aids at age 39.........who was he???

    Maco, you train under Young Hinton (Joe Laferla) then?

    If so, I probably assumed too much when I said he got out of boxing only one fight after the Mitrevski fight.

    Sounds like he got the job done all those years ago at the Marrickville RSL.

    Dug a bit deeper, and Joe had a 9 wins 4 losses earlier career that included a win over Willie Leslie. So there's at least two good scalps on his belt!
