thompson doesn't have a good resume obviously but imo he showed a lot against wlad. he was able to neutralize the jab and force wlad out of his comfort zone. wlad had to go to the lead right hand and body shots. he took a lot of punches not many other guys could take either. But h needs to come back with a good win to validate. I think he would outpoint valuev with impartial judges. he's no killer but clearly a top 10 hw imo. he performed very well the first 6 rounds. the slapfest against sultan wasn't pretty though
:rofl lol...wlad will be the big favorite...should be around 3 to 1 on betting sites. all the brits betting on haye will drive down the odds though :yep
Correct...and you know you love it really, without us who would you have to argue with? That's assuming your boy wins of course, and I bet you ain't all that confident of that - I'll readily admit I'm not confident Haye will win, but I think he has a better chance than anyone WALDO has fought lately.
Ah, the klitschko's are scheduled to fight again, and Fighting weight is going to root his @ss off for the underdogs. How much does it bother you to stomach the fact that both Wlad and Vitlai are co-champions and the two best heavyweights in the world? You might say not so much, but you have at least 100 of these posts out there.
Thompson gave Wlad trouble because he was tall and a southpaw, it certainly wasnt his power that made Wlad stop in his tracks, thats for sure. Thompson's chin was about the only thing that kept him in the fight that long, but Wlad eventually got to him and ended the fight in the late rounds, a fight I thought would be over in 6. The Rahman fight further showed how Wlad has almost no killer instinct anymore, he could of took Rahman out anytime he wanted with his weak ass chin, though to my surprise, Rahman's chin was better than it ever was that night. That fight I thought Wlad would of taken him out by the 3rd, considering how bad Rahman has looked in recent fights, the guy got rocked and quit against James Toney after 3 rounds for christ sake. Haye will be one hell of a test for Wlad, if Wlad takes care of him with ease, I will give him the props he deserves.
Yes. See my thread about the venue. A very famous battle was fought there hundreds of years ago, which is why it's been chosen to stage this. Very symbolic and appeals to Americans love of English history. HBO will lap it up!!!
Haye is English, I'm English...who the hell do you expect me to support :huh It doesn't bother me at all that WALDO and VITLAY are both title-holders, it's a **** division. Lewis TKO6 :hi::rasta:smoke
It actually doesn't bother me a bit, in fact I think I'll miss them when they're gone cos half my comedy material on here will disappear with them  If WALDO beats Haye I will give him full credit for taking on a dangerous, hungry young challenger who hits like a mule, I guarantee you that. As for the 'retired Lewis' thing.... This content is protected "I teach you painful lesson Mr Lewis, after this fight there will be nowhere else to go but retirement" :rofl:rofl
I always said I would give Wladdy full credit if he wins this fight and will do so if he does. He gets no credit from me for taking it, as he should have done so anyway. He can shut Haye up himself and make a huge statement. I just hope it's a good fight and not a bunch of holding, running, or hiding behind a jab. Wladimir deserves credit if he wins, but he should be praised even more if he goes out there and really makes a statement -- prime-Vitali style. Though Haye is not as proven as he could have been, this is the best opposition Wladimir can get at this point. Pre-Steward Wlad would be good to see back again for this one.
