Just rewatched Cotto-Mosley and...

This was one of the best big fight in recent memory IMO. A lot of momentum switches and action. I had it 115-113 Cotto. Close but clear.

 

I was just saying we need to rescore this fight. This is the thread then.

I'll watch it again tonight and bump this.

 

Cotto most definitely won..and won most of his rounds a little bigger.

But when he got tired late Shane came back with a vengence and pushed him all the way.

 

Had it 5 to 6 one even for Cotto.

I had it a draw when I saw the fight.

 

haven't seen it since the 1st time i saw, so i'll rewatch it today after class

 

115-114 Cotto, incredibly close fight, if Cotto wasn't champion we may have gotten an MD, SD or a draw.

 

Cotto clearly won a close fight. Whoever found 7 rounds to give to Sugar Balco Mosley is smoking some good ****.

 

Cotto won, but Mosely let this fight slide away from him at vital stages. He just wasnt up to it on the night, but i believe he would win a rematch as i dont rate Cotto.

Some may need to watch this one with the sound off. The always astute Puerto Rican crowd was doing a brilliant job of lifting Cotto. Mosley would nail Cotto with a series of shots and there would be nothing. Cotto would come back with a single jab or a combination and the crowd would go OOOHH!! OOOH!! OOOHHH!!!! They were HYPIN it. The HBO commentary wasn't terrible, but it was definately pro Cotto. Anyways, I'd say this was pretty clear for Mosley. I had to rewatch several rounds multiple times to be certain because some were very tight. It became clear eventually.

On to the issue of people "not knowing how to score if the had Mosley winning" or "must be smoking some good **** if they had Mosley winning" - that's hilarious. This was a close fight. It could have gone either way, and I scored it for Cotto live - though I'll admit the crowd got to me a bit. Still, it could have gone either way. If there's anything that's glaring on the scorecards of some of those who scored it for Cotto, I would say it's the 7th round. They must be smoking some good ****..
