Do you believe in a Draw Decision?

Do you really believe that two boxers are capable of fighting each other and perform equally inside the ring (round after round), to warrant/produce a draw decision? If you do, have you ever predicted a draw on a forthcoming fight and came out right about it?

Or do you always believe that after 12 rounds of boxing, there should always be a winner and a loser? As such, what changes should be made to reward the boxer who truly performed better (throughout the fight)?

 

i dont think i've ever picked a draw myself or atleast i cant think of any right off the top, but there are sometimes when i think a fight could go either way, and a draw is deserved

 

the only draw i ever predicted was pac/marquez

If its 6 rounds to 6 then yes, there is a draw there. Or point deductions can push a fight to a draw.

I would love for there to be a 'sudden death' round though. . just to finalize every fight.

I truley dont beleive that 2 fighters can draw even in 1 round though. One fighter always does something better or worse based on the criterea we are SUPPOSED to judge fights on

 

If you pick draw in every fight then sooner or later you may win a big money.

 

Ok. So is it fair enough to say, given what you've just said, that you don't believe that there should always be a winner and a loser?

 

Also you must believe in draw if rounds are allowed to be scored equally: 10-10 or 9-9.
.... if this would not be allowed and the number of rounds would be odd then the draws wouldn't be so common.

 

The 10-9 must score system does solve the first dilemma (round per round scoring).

Your suggestion regarding making the total number of rounds odd to make it rare for a draw decision is valid. Was thinking of that actually.

yeah, thats right....it is possible for me, that someone takes 6 rounds, and another guy takes 6rounds, you just cant vote for the guy with the bigger dick right? you gotta call it how you saw it

and like i said earlier, i cant think of any fights that i've seen like that, but i'm sure there are some out there

say yes, under the right occasion i say draws are necessary as far as banking rounds goes

 

I think a draw should be used more in tight fights rather than handing out wins and losses arbitrarily as we do now.

I do believe in draws after twelve. But as a fan and as a spectator, you can't help but want to have an answer as to who is the better fighter (officially, wrong or right) after twelve rounds of boxing.

 

But the judges are, especially if someone wins then get KD at the end or if there is a point deduction.

 

That why fighters can have a trilogy. Sometimes it gets 3 fights to tell
who is really better even if none of them are scored as draw.
