I agree haye's too fast and too athletic for wlad who has often depended on those traits himself along with his stregnth and power. haye will KO wlad no dout.
Ruskull... get your tongue away from Wlads balls man... you will get a nasty rash if you carry on. Like i have said to you in another thread... you clearly have no idea about Hayes boxing ability so i urge you to take your Wlad tinted glasses off and go and do some research... Byrds got faster hands than Haye? LOL... ok mate... you keep believing that
Please god make the odds for this fight mimic ESB. It's going to take every bit of athleticism for Haye to even land ANY shots at all. Wlad has too many physical advantages and is a terrible style matchup for Haye. Wlad fights tall, has really good power, probably THE best jab at HW today, and is pretty quick on his back feet for his size. All things designed to use his size and reach advantage and take people out from range. That is Wlads specialty! Haye will need to weather all of that to get inside his own range where he can land his own shots. He probably has the balls to go for it, but I don't think he has the defense to manage it without getting caught nor the chin to keep standing once he does. His only chance is to start lightning fast and try to blitz Wlad with forward pressure which sometimes takes Wlad out of his game. If he does that he has a punchers chance. Otherwise it will just be completely one sided.
Actually the younger Byrd WAS a faster puncher that what we have seen from David at Heavyweight so far. He also had a much better chin. Though he had absolutely no power which made him fairly useless against the likes of Wlad. Better to be a little slower and a lot stronger.
Here's my 2 cents (Sorry for stealing your mojo 0.02$); Wladimir Haye Height: 6'6" 1/2 6'3" Arm Length: 81" 78" Last fight Weight: 244Lbs 215Lbs Chin: Suspect Suspect Speed: Good Very Good Power: Good Good Boxing abilities: Very good Good Each have their strength, each have their weaknesses. They are both champions, one at HW, the other at Cruiser. They usually have good game plans but the edge goes to Klit because he is VERY good at using his height advantage. So for me, Klit should win this one even though I would love for Haye to win it. Haye never fought good fighters at HW where Klit has. So, it's the first one to crack one on the other one's chin basically. And because Klit uses his height so well, he should be the first one to do it.
Wlad s jab won't work against an opponent who goes side to side as fast as Haye does. While Klit will come straight on and square Haye will move lateral and create angles. Hayes speed will be the key, not just hand speed but footwork and movement which will open Wlad up. We know that Wlad is chinny but we don't know yet whether Haye's extra weight has improved his ability to take a shot. If Wlad lands a big right he might win but I'm taking Haye to have the tools to open up WK and the punch to drop him.
Byrd was fast.. i am not denying that... for the heavyweight scene at the time he looked lightening... whether he is faster than Haye or not is another argument altogether
Wlad is faster than Haye. Better movement, better Jab, better footwork. Wlad is a complete heavyweight fighter. He wil win by KO in 7 rounds.
Now that is the least biased, non nuthugging post i have ever seen... congratulations:happy By the way that was my attempt at sarcasm... Wlad faster than Haye... haha... ****ing classic :yep
Sorry - i was so busy laughing at the faster comment that i completely missed the 'better movement, better footwork' bit... man please tell me you was joking... There is a reason people call Wlad a robot and it isn't for his dancing technique I'll admit i'm not always the most diplomatic commentor when the discussion is regarding one of my favourite fighters but this is on a whole new level...
I bet you really do suck Heuvos..............Haye's Heuvos. I guess Haye looked fast against the Great Monte Barrett huh? Smooth & with great technique too. Good luck with that.
