Neither will you forgive him for beating your boy B-Hop!
Who was proved by the Pavlik fight to still be a very active credible opponent

If not for some incomprehensible scoring by two of the judges in Calzaghes fight with the man in your avatar we wouldn't be having this conversation. There is not one day, one minute of the time pre Ruiz that Roy Jones wouldn't have schooled Joe Calzaghe, feints or not.

OK, DM was never a world champion, but certainly a world class operator with plenty in his fists.

Beeston Brawler you should really do your research before saying completly inaccurate things and making yourself look foolish :thumbsup

    Another outstanding contribution from Mike464.

Do you actually contribute anything to his forum apart from jumping in with 1 or 2 sentences to slag off our BRITISH number 1 boxer?

Some very ignorant posts on here from the same old culprits who's opinion mean **** all anyway with regards to Calzaghe.

Roy Jones was a brilliant performer in his prime who didn't get tested to the max it has to be said.

    Joe Calzaghe the same.

A couple of months ago a past prime Calzaghe dominated an even further past prime Jones but as we all know it doesn't say that much for when they were in their primes apart from the fact that I always believed stylewise Calzaghe was a bad matchup for Jones.

However prime for prime it's a totally different fight which NOBODY can say for 100% what the outcome would have been. Personally I believe both could have beat each other but it would simply come down to who was the best on the night.

Calzaghe has the style to always give Jones problems regardless of age likewise Jones had the superior athletic ability to give anybody a torrid time.

Anyway, anyone can have their opinions on this but for some **** heads on this forum to say that Calzaghe would never beat Jones prime for prime is just pure ignorance it's as simple as that.

I think Calzaghe would give Jones a problem or two, but no more than Hatton gave Mayweather.

Joe wouldn't box like a prat seeking a desperate KO, but Roy hit harder at 168/175 than Floyd did at 147.

Jones late stoppage around 10th. 88-84 on the cards. ISH.

Bernard Hopkins and James Toney did not test Jones like Calzaghe could of due to style.

Firstly Hopkins was years from reaching his prime, and secondly he is not a good pressure fighter. You can not wait to counter somebody as gifted as Jones.

Same for Toney. A natural counterpuncher, he just has no answer. His footwork is very poor compared to the other areas of his game, and hence he can not close space and pressure. Also the reason his performances have been inconsistent.

I think Jones would have won 8-4/9-3.
