I thought there would be a little more love for Urango in the polls and the odds...

Ive got Urango. I think he'll be too strong for Ngoudjo and will be able to rough him up sufficiently enough to stop him mid to late rounds. I hoping to see some of the power that was on display against Vilches.

Ngoudjo UD for me although Urango's strength could alter things.I've only seen one fight of each and the Vilches KO

Another vote for Urango and for the same reasons as Grievsey.

The poll is leveling off now.

I don't see Bet365's odds as being that fair on Urango. This is a tough fight to predict going in, but hopefully skills will pay the bills. Ngoudjo's handspeed is real good, underrated.

I like this theme, discussing non-Brit topics on the Brit forum.....

Some of the GF posters are very lame.

Ngoudjo has to do his work inside really. I know he's the better boxer and he has the reach advantage, but from what I've seen he likes to come inside and try and land combinations to the body and outwork his opponent. I think his chin holds up, I think he outworks and outlands Urango, and takes a UD.

Some of Ngoudjo's best work against Malignaggi. What impressed me here was his ability to counter Malignaggi. There was a slick overhand right 2:30 into this round. This is the sort of work I can see being effective against the crude Colombian. I mean...Malignaggi does a lot of holding here. It's difficult to really imagine how this fight will go from watching this, because we would have to assume Urango will be coming forward and not Ngoudjo.

It does show he is a capable inside fighter also, as Tommy said. I think he would be better served keeping 75% of the fight at range, using his jab and skills, but when it comes down to it I would say his handspeed on the inside will get the better of Urango too.

Skip into this to see Urango against Vilches. I mean Vilches is getting the better of him for the most part when boxes and moves. He just looked kinda like age caught up, and he was so scared of Urango's power. He does look incredibly ponderous, and Vilches was poor to get caught with that shot. But damn...hes live with that power.

This level of discussion is excellent. I would encourage you folks to make more general boxing threads in here.

Most important things have been mentioned, so to add...

Wasn't Urango's decision over Ben Rabah controversial?
In that second youtube clip posted, the ESPN announcer mentions that Nasser Athumani had Urango in trouble. Anybody see that?

Also, I remember Bailey beat Ngoudjo on my card.

Here's hoping you do a thread like this for every upcoming noteworthy fight, or at least as many as you have time for. Cheers.

Tell me that this is a joke thread...the internet boys attacked Ricky for fighting and walking through Urango and here we are 2 years later taking this IBF shambles seriously. I'm stunned.

    Adios.

Who said we were taking the IBF part seriously?

Everyone on here knows the level that guys like Urango and Ngoudjo are operating on. If there was a bigger fight to preview I'm sure TFFP would have used it.

Its just an analysis thread for a fight from the states, just a bit of fun. Most of us are tired of going on the GF to discuss and preview fights with the monkeys in there. I'd never thought about discussing these types of fights in here, but I think its a good idea.

Chill out Bunce, and give us your take on this fight.

I don't recall him walking through Urango at all.

I remember Hatton boxing superbly for about six rounds then hanging on for dear life. His face looked the same as mine did when I ran the Leeds Half Marathon last year..... shattered!

I don't take any vacant alphabet title fight seriously, because it is usually one decent fighter vs a pudding.

Unless it is the WBO (not a world title but anyways...... for another day) where you get a Sports Network fighter vs a pudding.

    What's up with Bunce ?
I reckon this could be an interesting fight. Think both have earned their shot at a title .
I'm picking Urango on points , no in-depth analysis here i'm afraid, i just fancy him to the job, very strong fighter with good power .
