Why are Pac fans making excuses already about him being a former flyweight. What a joke.

I know, its like Floyd fans saying 'if Hatton wins its because Floyd was a lightweight'

Manny was a boy when he fought at flyweight.. what was he 16? no where near filling out.

it seems Manny could fight Lennox Lewis and you would say people are making excuses when they point out the size difference.

Manny seemingly being able to move up weights easily just has to do with the fact that he is such a great fighter. Its never easy to move up in weight, just ask Hatton. Hatton choked when he moved up 1 division. Super Lightweight will be Pacquiao's 8th division.

What I pointed out are facts. You can call them excuses if you want. Pac's first fight above 130 was in June. Hatton has never fought below 140. Any one who thinks Hatton isn't bigger than Pac is delusional.

And btw Pac weighed in at 142 against Oscar. He could easily make 135 but at this point he would probably struggle a little to make 130. I don't see people saying that Pacquiao was weight drained when he fought JMM last March.

That being said, I still pick Pac to win, and if Hatton wins then it'll be the best win of his career. So credit to him if he pulls it off. but it doens't make him the best fighter in the world.

Exactly, he's a great fighter and it is going be a great fight.

So start talking about the fight and not bringing out excuses already.

If Roach has said himself that Pac cannot make 135,then there can be no weight-related excuses from *******s lets get that straight

Being to move up in weight has many variables, being 'a great fighter' won't cut it.

Size wise theres nothing to separate them, maybe Manny just edging Hatton out in reach, Hatton will no doubt be heavier but in relation to size theres nothing to split them. That's why I feel it's not a valid excuse, regardless of who fought who at what weight when.

But hey, we could argue semantics all day.

pacs got a bigger reach than hatton, it's factors like that, that make a difference when trying to move up in weight.

Fair enough, I think that's quite an underrated win for Hatton actually, Castillo was only 1 fight removed from scoring a big victory over Corrales in their second fight which people often forget...

its not semantics. Size in boxing is about weight.
